NO 1 TAKE YOUR PHONE TO LET A PRO DO IT. these things are NOT DIY. NO.2 a hair dryer will do just nicely, my heat gun is not as exact but the idea is, apply head. You can get a gel thing for your shoulder or back, that you microwave for heat, and apply it let it sit, same thing.

REWA its like watching a action movie. Seriously all the technics and know-how you guys have is stunning. The best part was when you replaced the backlight of the screen. I was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!? STOP!! hahahahahaha i thought you were breaking the LCD, after all the hard work. Is it even necessary to replace the backlight? I mean its a potentially dangerous step that could (should ^^ ) be spared.

Static bands are for discharging static electricity that your body might have accumulated due to friction. These static charges can be accidentally discharged onto the fragile components in PCB and small electrical parts on cellphone internals, rendering unusable. In order to work, they need to be connected to ground so that the charges flow to the ground and you become electrically discharged.

Dropped my phone yesterday. And it now had a crack running in the glass from the top right of the phone to the bottom left. Everything still seems to be working. So I'm in doubt if I should replace the front of my phone. Even though in the video it doesn't seem too hard, I wonder if someone like me who isn't that technical and a bit clumsy when it comes to finer movements, will get it done without causing even more damages. But I wanted to let you know my favorite ice cream is taste is lemon.

BUT - You have to give the guy some credit. He DOES know what he's doing. Aside from the ESD strap, he did the repair, he was well organized, he used the right tools, and he demonstrated it quite well... Perhaps, he just didn't wear the strap to make the video easier to record.
