Thanks for the great video. I just replaced my iPhone 7 Plus screen using your instructions. Everything works great, but I had to figure out the plastic piece around the camera on my own.

this is great video... Step by step cannot get any easier. I had a cracked screen order a kit on amazon and decided to go for it. I did everything this guy was doing. just be very careful like he says. heating the phone actually works a lil bit better. but is anybodys choice to do it that way. Just carefully follow this guy on the video and i think you'll be safe with your phone. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY

Great video, everything works as it should. not sure if i should have replaced the sticky tape holding the cable onto the plate but i'm sure it'll be fine. Almost forgot to reconnect the battery but did in the end. Loved the video, can't thank you enough.

does the new lcd affect the front camera? i replaced mine but i think its not the high quality one. and the screen and the front cam looks very different unlike the original screen. please help thank you very much! :)

@@jecoseul I did not have problems with the home button, but I did have to go back and open it up and reposition the connection on the ear speaker because it was crooked.

In an instructional video, I feel it is important to demonstrate the proper tools, ie, the razor blade on a delicate cable is not a good idea to teach to persons that are unfamiliar with phone repair. Hi, I've just replaced the screen on my iPhone 7 following your video however the home button does not seem to be working. Do you think I might not have the connections correct ? Would it be a good idea to open the phone back up again and check ? Are there any other reasons the button might not work ? I used the original one from the original screen and followed your instructions. Thanks in advance. Mandy x

Yes reopen and and check I would also try the button on the old screen just to make sure is not damage

Where can you buy another flex cable? I accidently broke the other trying to get the screws out from the home button.

BE CAREFUL! Don’t ruin your home button! This video is good but he does not tell you how to carefully remove the home button ribbon which is adhered to the back of the display. I destroyed mine when I was taking it off. Maybe I should’ve used heat… I don’t know?

it might be late but you can use a different sized screw driver to help or even use a drop of super glue on the tip to help move things along

Based on the tutorial, I finished the iPhone 7 plus display change ... All functions (3D touch, image quality, etc. working perfectly) are equivalent to the original iphone, but the microphone (phone and facebook messenger call or call reception) is rebooted, but voice recording is perfect for voice recorder. (But it works normally with headphones.) If you have any idea, what can you do and what you have done, I'd be happy if you could help, Thank you.

U didn’t replace the plastic bracket that holds the front camera in place.

And what about waterproof seal for the home button?

Why nobody is using seal around the screen?

I had a difficult time getting the new screen flush. Do you have to use a good amount of pressure? Thank you it was good info and super helpful

Well, l got up the nerve and tore into this phone - very carefully l might add... after watching your video I don’t even know how many times..... and after several “hours” ( I ain’t even gonna lie) and fiddling with those tiny screws that almost made me want to cuss... I got the screen changed.... but the home button wouldn’t work.. so disappointed because I was super duper careful!! So l ordered another home button- changed it out tonight.. it doesn’t work, either.. Guess I’m just stuck with the assistive touch button, at least l do have that.. and I’m very thankful l didn’t destroy my phone during all the madness... I am sure my hair looked like Barney Fife’s when l was finished.. I think I’m done- HaPpY l have a new screen, at least!! Thanks for your video!

Great video. Do you know where to buy the best quality aftermarket screens? I had my screen replaced on my 7+ almost a year ago at a repair shop right at the time iOS 11 came out and my phone has lag issues and finicky touch responses. The keyboard lag is probably the most frustrating as sometimes it will be so bad that the keyboard is almost unusable with missing keystrokes and general lag. I’ve done repairs on my own before and think I can handle it but I don’t even want to waste my money unless I know I can get as close to OEM quality as possible. At this point I would pay Apple to do it but I’m told they might not even touch it because it has aftermarket parts on it. Also I noticed with this display on mine the color temperature is off compared to OEM to it has more of a cooler bluish like color with washed out color. I don’t know if the shop I went to bought really cheap parts or if that’s just the way most aftermarket screens are. It wasn’t a little shit shop they seemed pretty professional with multiple locations and it cost me $150 so I haven’t been to happy since iOS 11 was released.

Without a new gasket the phone won't be waterproof anymore. They don't cost much, just be careful taking your time to apply it.
