@@OpticalSorcerer Ursula, Oogie Boogie, Captain Hook, Queen of Hearts, King Candy/Turbo, Gaston, Ratigan, Scar, Tamatoa, Sid Phillips, Randall, Dr. Facilier, Kaa, and Syndrome, come to my mind. I'd say Lotso too, but his comedy is more of a situational kind. The only thing funny about him is the fact that he's an evil tyrant and a strawberry scented teddy bear. As for TV Animation (this is fun) there's several of Aladdin's TV foes (Abis Mal, Mechanicles, Chaos and Mozernrath in particular), most of DuckTales' bad guys (especially the reboot) Bushroot, Quackerjack, Megavolt, Don Karnage, Fat Cat, Shego (Drakken is mostly funny), 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz (I'm counting him), Bill Cipher, Ludo, and King Andrias. Oh, what the heck! Live action time! Constantine, the Sanderson sisters, Loki, Sweet Pete and Putty, and Barbosa. I was going to bring up Thanos, Ebony Maw, Belos, and Toffee, but than I realized they we very stoic and serious characters that were at their funniest when being roasted by the good guys. Marco Diaz: Yeah, well, you're boring. And you're dressed like a lawyer. 😠 Tony Stark: I'm sorry, Earth is closed today. Get lost Squidward! 🐙 Peter Quill: Let her go Grimace! 🥤🍟🍔 Tony Stark: Yeah, we're all kinds of stubborn. 🙄 Luz Noceda: No one's gonna take you seriously if you start ranting about The Demon Realm. Not to mention, a fashion sense like that? Yikes, my dude. 🙁

I know they’re both live action properties but I think they’d both fit well into the series and still keep your list very compact. But yeah I completely understand if you don’t want to include these, with the amount of Disney/Pixar movies and shows there are you’ve probably got a good amount of retrospectives to make for the foreseeable future.

Good work Colin. Are you going to do The Fox and the Hound? It seems debatable at best, whether Amos Slade should be classified as a true Disney villain. Granted, he's far from a nice person. But would you call him genuinely evil? On the other hand his vendetta against Tod is genuinely personal to him.

He's an anti-villain. His motivation to kill Todd was to get revenge for injuring his dog. It was out of love and care for his dogs, but he did some villainous actions to obtain that goal. Same with Fagin from Oliver and Company. Even though he cares about his dogs, and wants to get out of debt, It's his own actions that got others and himself into trouble. He's a petty thief who got himself into debt and is not owning up to anything.

I would like to ask if you're planning on covering Disney villains that appeared exclusively or were created on comics. You have covered in the past people like the Black Blot, so there are precedents. It would be cool to see you cover characters that are probably more obscure to an American audience, given how Disney comic books are more popular in Europe and South America. Some of the characters that come to mind are Witch villains like Cedric and Nerissa or Mickey/Donald villains like Trudy (Peg-Leg Pete's girlfriend) and Rockerduck.

Such examples being the recently released Pinocchio live action remake and probably by the time this is done and over with as a retrospective the Snow White and the seven dwarfs live action remake.

Ok I find it a little silly to ask questions on an FAQ video, but I'm genuinely curious! Since you've already gone over a lot of jafars returns in a seperate, non villian retrospective video, will you be going over those when you get to him in this series? Secondly, when you get to the "Who framed Roger Rabbit" film, will you mention the characters used in the "toontown online" game? Im curious bc I don't believe roger, jessica, or eddie are mentioned in it/them, despite them being inspired by WFRR. (I suppose the same question could go for Bonkers villians but I'm less curious about that show haha) Anyway, no hate if the answer to either of these questions is no, I'm just wondering :)

Pete Docter himself stated that he hates traditional baddies because he doesn’t find them realistic, noting that everyone thinks they’re doing the right thing. This is why Inside Out has no real villain and the antagonist of Up‘s role is more symbolic (he embodies what Carl could’ve become without love)." Pete Docter also doesn't seem to understand why Lightyear failed and thinks it's because the Toy Story characters were what people wanted. Safe to say he's pretty out of touch with the audience.

I'm actually glad you did a video like this, it allows me to comment on this series of videos more broadly than to just talk about the specific villains of each video. I REALLY like these videos, it's fun looking back at the various antagonists the Walt Disney company has created over the years. Incidentally, I was wondering if you'd cover Hocus Pocus or the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but since they're live action I guess they're off the table. I suppose it's just as well in terms of the Pirates movies, I only really liked the first one, and while Davy Jones and the Kraken are pretty cool, the movies get pretty morally gray over time, not to mention the villains got less interesting (and a bit more nonsensical) after that. It's interesting to hear your stance Marvel, Star Wars and Fox, because I was hoping you wouldn't bother covering them since, to be honest, the villains from those franchises and companies aren't really Disney villains, they're villains acquired by Disney... though you could potentially say the same thing about Pixar, since up until 2006, they weren't necessarily owned by Disney, even if the movies they made were... I suppose it's better to just count them since people regard the Pixar movies as Disney movies anyway. Here are some questions and comments that weren't addressed in this video, hopefully you don't mind answering them: -You said you'll include Pixar movies, as well as Roger Rabbit, The Brave Little Toaster, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Enchanted, but won't bother including Marvel, Star Wars, or any Fox movies in this retrospective series... But will you include any Muppets villains at some point? The Muppets weren't always associated with Disney, so will you only include Muppets stuff that was done after Disney bought them, or are you just going to skip them entirely? -You mentioned you'd cover TV shows, but I'm curious if you're only going to do a few TV shows or if you're going to cover ALL of them, because quite frankly, there are a LOT of Disney TV shows, including many obscure ones. You alluded to doing DuckTales at some point, or at least, doing villains that were part of the Carl Barks/Don Rosa Duck comics, which were prominently featured in DuckTales, so I totally expect you do do that at some point, but will you be covering the rest of the Disney Afternoon shows? At the very least, I hope you cover Gravity Falls at some point, because in my humble opinion, Bill Cipher is probably one of the best Disney villains not to be part of their Animated Canon, and it'd be a crime not to include him in this. -This series has been been an interesting one when it comes to who you would consider a villain or worth covering in-depth. It is ultimately your series and your own set of self-imposed rules, and from what I can gather, you tend to cover "villains" if Disney considers them a villain, but draw the line with characters who are animals following their basic instincts, or characters with grim duties but otherwise aren't malicious. This gray area makes me wonder how you'll handle anti-villains going forward, AKA characters who are technically "villains" but aren't all that villainous. I'm talking about characters like Amos Slade and Chief from The Fox and the Hound, Kron from Dinosaur, John Silver from Treasure Planet or Denahi from Brother Bear? I think these characters are at least worth a mention, if they're not villainous enough to warrant a whole video dedicated to them... Incidentally, if you DO decide to cover John Silver at length and go into the history of Treasure Island, I hope you use clips from the Soviet Treasure Island animated movie; Dr. Livesey from that cartoon might have been the breakout meme star, but John Silver is no slouch in the badass department either, every line he delivers is OOZING with gruff intimidation! -I've been curious about the background music for your videos. I've noticed that sometimes they're background music from the movies themselves, and other times they're video game music; in particular I noticed a lot of Banjo-Kazooie music for the Captain Hook video. I wouldn't mind seeing a list of the source of the music you use in your videos going forward, if you don't mind. -Are you familiar with Wicked? I only ask this in response to you're opinions on the Maleficent and Cruella movies, saying you really wish they weren't about those characters since they're "not really Maleficent/Cruella" in those movies. These comments remind me of the popularity of Wicked, and it's alternative take on the Wicked Witch of the West, something I think clearly inspired Disney to do the same for Maleficent (the success of that is probably why they also went and did the same for Cruella). It's an alternate take on an established villain, and I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. I view Maleficent through that kind of lens and don't take much issue with that Maleficent being that much like her original animated counterpart because of it... I still take issue with Disney attempting to do the same with Cruella, though, since as you've said, it's REALLY hard to do a sympathetic alternate take for a character who wants to skin puppies and turn them into coats, and it's actually kind of hilarious that Disney think they could try to get people on Cruella's side or at least try to get people to think she wasn't that bad or not all bad. One final comment: I'm REALLY looking forward to when you tackle the more modern Disney villains in the animated canon, since they're rather sparse and very much not like the traditional ones that many fans have come to love. In particular, I look forward to when you cover Moana, which manages to include both kinds of Disney villains, i.e. the traditional hammy Disney villain who even gets his own villain song and the more contemporary villain seen in most other modern Disney movies (and also the funny little minion-esque villains as a bonus). Thanks for your time, keep up the good work!

It depends... The last Disney and Pixar movies seldom has villains... Encanto doesn't have any, Frozen 2 only have Runerand who isn't even directly involved (and would be covered in the Frozen video anyways) and for Ralph Breaks the Internet i don't know if he is going to include Arthur the virus and/or the guy who is selling it, but even if he does, i would do it in the Wreck It ralph video, meaning that he would stop at Moana for the classics. For Pixar, excluding Lightyear (wich i think would be included in the Toy Story video since is tecnically the same franchise), Turning Red doesn't have villain (maybe the mother in panda form, but i'm not sure), Luca have Ercole who is a villain but a very small one, but aside from that neither Soul nor Onward have a villain, then there is incredibile 2, so after Coco he will only doing a short video on Luca and maybe Turning Red and then even with Pixar he would have done. And i feel that even for the movies that have villain, their video would be very short, how much you can say about Hans Bellwether or De La Cruz? Big Hero 6 has more thanks to the TV series, but aside from that... The shows would give more materials, i'm not watching things like Owl House or Amphibia (to go with the more recent one) but i'm pretty sure they have villains. On the movie side however, if Disney continues with that trend, once he reach the modern era he would soon run out of villains.
