You are exactly right, Lucy lives the song she is singing. Her storytelling, along with her crystal voice, is what carries the listener along. Lucy's magic carpet ride.

Very impressive from a young Lucy. Lucy has a number of songs on video from her forth coming Musical "Rosie" which opens in London's West End in the autumn. "Broken Dreams" would be a good starter, which shows her range and power. Lucy also covers songs from all genres from Rock, to pop, classical crossover, jazz, country. and of course musical theatre. Also Lucy has performed several duets with her younger sister Martha with their interpretation of "The Prayer" being the best (in my opinion and many others) of all other covers.

Bravo for the wonderful reaction. Looks like you are starting to know Lucy. To me she is the best performer I know and a very kind humble soul. She is totally in control, lives every song in every detail. All her more than 70 performances are masterpieces. Don't forget to look at her duets with her equally talented sister Martha who turned 14 last November. You may want to start with The Prayer but they are all great. There is also one with her sister and her mother named Smile (cadeau for mother's day 23). Enjoy. ps Don't forget to look at her early work to get an idea of her development. You might want to start with Run at age 10.

A wonderful performance by a 15 year old Lucy Thomas. I highly recommend that you react next to Lucy and her 5 1/2 year younger sister Martha singing either "The Prayer" or "Mary Did You Know?" Both performances are amazing and I guarantee you'll enjoy them.

Hello Bonjour, a lovely reaction from you about Lucy, the last 5 years she has learned her trade by her KZread song Channel, now she is ready for the big stage, she will be the main lead in a new Musical called " Rosie " which is opening in London later this year. Their will be a CD out in early march called Rosie , the songs and music for this show are truly Amazing, Take care Barbara.

Thanks for some good information. Easy to get won over by Lucy one only needs to listen. 🙂 Lucy was on the UK talent show ‘The Voice Kids’ aged 14, however I believe the first song Moon River was pre-recorded for the show when Lucy was still 13 years old. So remarkable for the young girl in her first major live performance. Memory the classic and iconic song from the stage musical ‘Cats’, with Elaine Paige. 😺 Elaine making this an outstanding song then that continues to this day. Elaine Paige sets the bar, but Lucy delivers the same but with a nicer voice, so in my opinion Lucy is the best. But no disrespect to Elaine as Lucy is one of the best female singers to date. I suggest you listen next ‘Somewhere’. But don’t miss Lucy’s original epic classic song to be ‘Broken Dreams’ from the musical ‘Rosie’. Truly a song to equal ‘Memory’.

micheallewis Lucy was 15 when this was recorded just before she turned 16 !!! This was released Dec 27 2019 Lucy was 15 and had her 16th birthday Feb 21 2020 Lucy was born in 2004...FYI

Belle réaction encore ! Il s'agit de la chanson iconique de la comédie musicale Cats. Les paroles sont une adaptation d'un poème de T.S. Eliot, à mon humble avis le plus grand poète du XXe siecle, avec des sonorités absolument géniales... La plupart des airs de Cats viennent de ses poèmes sur les chats, mais Memory est inspiré de Rhapsody on a Windy Night, une ballade sur un paysage urbain nocturne halluciné, écrit à Paris et inspiré par Paris (forcément !😃). L'adaptation est presque aussi bonne que l'original. La musique est incroyable. Et Lucy Thomas fait honneur à tout cela, et à Barbara Streisand en prime, sans réellement la copier, et tout en retenue. C'est brillant, et tout à fait maîtrisé ! J'admire... Les fans de Lucy ne m'en voudront pas, j'espère, si je rends hommage à l'interprétation de la grande soprano Patricia Janeckova sur la même chanson. She performs the song not just singing it I heard another reactor TheCharismaticVoice an Opera singer herself call it Park and Bark walk out stand still sing the song and leave vocally could be great but no heart to it, she was talking about Mozart's Queen of The Night but the same thing applies you have to sell it not just perform it.

actually, it's not very nice to present things like this, especially from a colleague! Jealousy perhaps?☺ It is true that during a simple studio video, there is no artistic context to stage the song, whereas on stage, it must be different! That said, Lucy being very young, she will have to refine her scenography and her gestures, as all young artists must do, who have the talent, but who fortunately must still progress to sublimate their performance!

I wasn't criticizing lucy​ just the opposite I was praising her some people were picking at her performance for glancing aside and down as she sang she was acting the part. Lucy has the best voice and talent I have heard since 1967 when I first heard Linda Rodstadt I have signed copies of all 5 of Lucy's cd's and another on preorder she is the outstanding talent in the last 20 years at least.
