Rap started with having fun with it, todays rap couldn't be further away from it, todays rap is about bragging about nonsense materialism to get payed and big in the industry because thta is what sells to todays youth. Of course "brag rap" has always been around, but back then they actually had incredible rhymes and actuall SKILL of delivering their raps, wich is what is completely unpresent today.
