Henry Chavet was a chess piece manufacturer who made chessmen for professional use for consumers in North America and Europe. Our chess pieces are a reproduction of one of variants of Chavet Chess used in chess championships in 1980's to 90's.
Dark Side army has been stained in Mahogany finish which is a refreshing alternative to standard ebonised boxwood variants or the golden rosewood variants commonly seen in tournament chess sets.

Me too! Amazing craftsmanship, clean lines and smooth cuts!! The matching 21 in. (53 cm) printed board in antiqued boxwood and ebony with 2.2 in. (55 mm) squares is on its way, as is the black leatherette piece coffer box. I can hardly wait! Shout-out to RandomChessTalk!!
