RCIRs are the best. My favorite is #9. Pork/pineapple and cassoulet, the other duck. Yes, US pizza MRE is a gimmick. It's made for 5 year olds, not soldiers.

Indeed it was ! A great MRE for sure!

sugar fruit (with apple) is quite easy to made. Every "Prepared Survivalist" may have to learn to cook it. The shelf life is quite long (thanks to the sugar) and the fast energy it provides is very good for trips.

Robs reviews “that would be great with a bit of ketchup” 😂 That looks the most french meal ever, so rich! Got to say I’d eat all of that with pleasure except maybe the salad. Love the little stove, I think you get one in the Romanian mre too. Decent review 👍

I love the Commando Bars! I save them for last, after dinner with a coffee. I find it helps to dig a little hole in the middle of the entrees and add a little water when heating to stop them burning.

Menu 10 looks great. I ordered one last week and cannot wait for it to arrive. What other menus can you recommend? Only thing is the cannot be pork or vegetarian. I’m taking MRE’s as I’ve broken my ribs so trying meals ready to heat but take very take very little to eat but give me plenty of energy.

Tbh the older pre 2010 duck and mash was better as it was a full duck breast with mash around and on top of it, the new one is okay but it's more like duck shepards pie the ducks all minced up and mixed with veg.

Yes fondue cheese is supposed to be had heated (it's fondue! melted cheese) but it's alright. And gosh darn you heated that can for so long, way more than it needed to be. But I mean as long as you enjoyed it it's alright I guess.

no it's not ! fondue cheese is supposed to be heated. a fondue is not the same as "fondu". It's called a false friend. "Fondue" is the dish. "Fondu" means melted. It's process cheese NOT meant to be heated.

That looked bloody good actually. But for a 24 hour meal plan, amazing, I would be happy with it. Just out of interest, was it much more costly than the usual mre meal packs?
