Its a great light, super design. The price keeps me from buying it. Yes its worth the price, but not everyone can afford that expensive of a light.

Yeah I even bought that $200 sidexside Fenix over 10yrs ago and immediately hated it and sold it to a co-worker. I don't see anything about this light to make it worth more than $50. At least the Fenix utilized the full width of the wide housing with its wide emitter.

I owned that $200 sidexside (can't remember the model#) Fenix from over 10yrs ago and immediately hated the shape and constantly felt like I was going to drop it. I sold it to a co-worker the second day I used it. He seemed ok with the shape and carried it for at least a couple years. I guess it's just what each person is comfortable with.

I have a Synergy 2, Synergy 2.5 and an FML2. The guy makes awesome stuff.

Awesome light , but how can they justify the $275 price tag ? I get the multiple battery use but even still.

Real talk, if this light was made in China, it would be under $100. I see people who whine about Chinese manufacture, but then they don’t want to pay for US labor 🤷‍♂️

@@cheule I agree but the thing is also the Chinese light manufacturers you can see they pride in the workmanship and also the competition so they strive to make really good lights to sell in our Marketplace. I'm All About buy American but I work hard for my money too so I need to make it go as far as I can like most Americans. The American manufacturers need to also see that too and put reasonable prices on their products. If that light was $100 I would had already bought it.

@@cheule US labor or not. If I could get 3 flashlights that are the same or even better. Why would I go for this one? Just for design? Chinese do good stuff too. Apple phones and all other stuff are also made in China and still got a big pricetag.

Well just checked his website... basically everything is sold out. Will check again in a few months...

Definitely a light worth waiting for. You could always try to email Frelux directly. Many custom flashlight manufacturers do drops on their websites, but if you email them will make one for you sooner.

Bro they are not even taking pre-order. Any updates on this issue would be appreciated. I really like the red white and blue light but alas cant buy it.

Unfortunately the supply chain for his drivers is stalled (I think). I heard through the grapevine that it’s what’s holding up new production.

You might've sold me on this light. I'll have to sell a few knives to justify purchasing it. I have always wanted a good American made light and this might be it.

I really like it. if you have the ability, swap a 519A sm503 DD in there and it's perfect!

You got me all hyped up on a flashlight i cannot buy. Wtf. They all sold out and only make limited stock. Also price is pretty crazy. I get made in america but still. $280 is ridiculous.

They add stock regularly, you just have to keep checking. Or, email Benjamin and he’ll often set one aside for you before it hits the website. For what it’s worth, I bought both of mine straight off the website. Real talk, if this light was made in China, it would be under $100. People always whine about Chinese manufacture, but then they don’t want to pay for US labor 🤷‍♂️

Better buy Olight instead. Better rechargable batteries and higher lumen. I got 5 already. 😅 The small batons are awesome!

Why would you lock your light when it's sitting on your night stand? Lockout is for pocket or backpack carry. When the light is somewhere that it may be accidentally activated and go unnoticed.

Anduril has two sets of aux lights. The unlocked ones are too bright.

@@cheule you can change the brightness of the aux lights independently. I have my normal ones set to low red, and the lockout aux lights to low blue. You can turn them off altogether if you'd like. Lockout or not has no bearing on aux light color or brightness, at least on recent Anduril builds.

A couple things about that: 1) I vastly prefer aluminum to Titanium for lights I intend to carry. Lightweight, better thermals. Aluminum is really the best flashlight material. 2) compare the price to other US made flashlights like Prometheus Alpha or Hanko Machine Works. I truly feel you can get the quality enthusiasts want in a flashlight for under $100 unless you make it in China (like Reylight or Lumintop). People say they want US manufacture, but then no one wants to pay US wages. No argument with you, just things to ponder.

These are all sold out.

Why no mention of this being a Spy clone? Also, this light is MUCH cheaper than a Spy! A fraction of the cost of a Spy in fact…

I own a Cool Fall Spy 007 as well. I don’t think that the FreLux is a clone at all. For once thing they’re different sizes, they use different batteries, completely different button mechanisms and UI types.

Seems way overpriced for what you get. Lumens in the hundreds, while you can buy a Olight that has 3200 lumens for 150 bucks.

And you can get a Lumintop FW21 Pro that has 9000 lumens for 70 bucks. American made lights are going to be more expensive than Chinese made lights. Look at Surefire and Malkoff.

@@cheule Other attributes as what? Design? A flashlight should lighten up, thats what its made for. And lighten up enough for what you use it for, example at work or in the woods.
