First of all, it's been a minute! If I'm not mistaken, I think it's been almost 3 years since my last upload! Crazy how the time flies! Lots of major changes in both my personal and professional life over the last couple years have left me pretty busy, but I'm not gone! I've still been here lurking in the shadows, and I've still got a massive library of videos to edit and upload as time allows! Anywho, let's talk about this video!
I've realized that over the years, I've uploaded several videos of the various trough-style recycling trucks that used to handle the curbside recycling here in my hometown, but I've never posted any videos of the trucks that gradually replaced those classics as they started to die off. Here we have a 2005 Freightliner Condor with a McNeilus M/A body handling some curbside recycling on a nice crisp autumn day. I have a few videos of this truck handling garbage back when it was newer. As age started to get the best of it, it was reassigned to recycle for it's last couple years of service, becoming the first truck to permanently replace one of the old trough-style recyclers. Though I will always have a soft spot for those old trough recyclers that I grew up with, upgrading to larger trucks with compaction has absolutely made recycling collection much more efficient, especially as the city continues to grow and the optional curbside recycling service gets more and more popular.
