I’m more surprised because usually I see people have Ayaka Yelan and raiden because energy problems but other words this was a really good gameplay

nah, this mona version is much more popular, even being included in CN meta tierlists (although it did not place very high up). Raiden is a waste when only 1 character's burst (Yelan) is crucial.

Local shenhe SC expert gets horrified by a random confused player, that was funny ngl Also I don't see Mona doing much here other than being Yelan's meatshield, poor astrologist, maybe replace her with a third element to add gilded engine bc why not

I actually had Azhdaha instead of Mona before this, but I ended up with too many dice and not enough survival. It was difficult to get Yelan's burst consistently while also building up my dice engines. I suppose that's why even the CN meta nerds use Mona in this deck.

How do you decide whether to use xingqiu or yelan? Is it defensive skill + low cost burst vs more dmg + card draw?

If you're deciding between the 2 for a combo deck, then it mostly depends on whether you need more than 3 instances for the secondary Hydro attack. If you're going to be spamming NAs like there's no tomorrow (like Yelan OTK, generating dice nonstop with Gilded and/or Jeht), then go with Yelan and make sure you can support the 3 energy requirement. If you're going to freeze, then usually Xingqiu's 3 Hydro attacks are enough for the triple freeze, like in Xingqiu + Chongyun + Razor. But you need the damage to back it up (Razor has Wolf's Gravestone for that); Freezeyaka can't deal enough damage to sweep with Xingqiu. Of course, the plus is less energy needed and his burst doesn't "run out of time". If you're running a stall deck, then it's xingqiu always

yes but then i won't have enough dice later on without minty meat rolls. Plus, doing what I did gives even more dice since I put down 2 Jehts

Why do you farm stack early on rather than later when your entire zone is almost full and you have easier time to get 6 jeht stack instantly

To get enough support cards for Jeht's stacks by round 3 (as well as my other important cards, like gambler's and MMR), I need to draw a crap ton of cards using Chang, Liben, Seelie and even Dunyarzad as early as possible. The first 3 mentioned will run out/disappear once they're used. If I don't start replacing early on, these supports will run out and then I'll have no support cards to replace for stacks. Them running out only gives 3-4 stacks at most (usually only 2-3). So I start replacing them right from the start, making sure to leave the ones I want on top and replacing the less important ones (like Seed Dispensary or a Chang with no future).
