    Awe man I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’d be in tears 😭. I can say I had issues with my HR and the mTorr’s not getting low enough. HR was amazing with their customer service and I had the issues resolved within a day or two. They didn’t leave me alone till I confirmed my FD was fixed. Praying yours gets up and running as quickly as possible.

    Yes, I had a rough start with mine. It was about a year until I was able to run a successful load. The machine went back and forth 3 times. I’m not that technical and freaked out when they wanted me to open the back. I striped a couple bolts (well, they used too many bolts anyway). I bought the large because I didn’t want to regret buying a small and wishing I had a large. Plus bought the oil free pump because I didn’t want to change the oil (which turned out to be a very easy task). I paid $5k for a large and oil free pump. I finally got it started and during a conversation when hearing they were having a sale, asked, “How much for the large?” “$3600”. To which I replied, “SOLD!” I have 2 machines! The first gave me so much trouble and spent too much time being shipped back and forth that I figured if I had a second, I wouldn’t lose any f/d time. Now I can’t freeze the food fast enough! I buy prefrozen food like meatballs, shrimp, potatoes O’Brien, etc. I have 5 sets of trays. My favorite item to freeze dry (which I really banged them out since there is a short 3 mo season on) is egg nog. One load will do 2 1/2 gallons of milk. Other technician jobs I had to do is put silicone on a part inside and change out the touch screen. The last time one went down (the first one that caused me trouble) I had to pay $400 to ship since it was out of warranty plus parts and repair fee. Then when fed ex was supposed to deliver it, lost the f/d. HR had to ship another. Then a week later fed ex called to set up delivery of list one! I do bad wanted a third machine. If anyone thinks of getting one, use the heck out of it for the first year while it is under warranty.

    Very good videos. Thank you for the information. Have you ever heard of ElectroStatic Discharge? I suggest everyone that touches any device with a micro computer chip ( freeze dryer, cell phone, tablet, and some toasters ) in it, look it up and be aware. Some examples are: the tickle when you touch a light switch in the winter, the crackling when taking clothes out of a dryer, crackling when you rub a cat in dry air, and last but far from least the lightening in a thunder storm. I recommend that everyone discharge themselves, by touching one of the shiny metal surfaces on the front of the Freeze dryer that has electrical connection to the ground of the outlet before touching the USB port. In low humidity conditions this might benefit the touch screen. At the very least, avoiding an ESD will not hurt the electronics in the freeze dryer. Again thank you for the videos.

    I updated mine, as well. It didn't want the thumb drive that I had. It said it was too big at 32GB, I had to drive to walmart and get a 16GB thumb drive. Cost me $3.88! But, it actually worked! You have to 'unpack' the file that you download from the internet. Make sure that there are NO other files on the thumb drive and don't put the file in a folder.

    I really hope you fair better than me. My machine is less than 3 months old and nothing but problems. I live in NJ and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement sealer. Mine was bad out of the box. Mason jars worked but the plastic vacuum sealer bags didn't do a good job and i threw out a lot of food. Thank you Harvest Right. My bottom shelf doesn't heat up. First thing they tell me to do is go to home depot to buy some corrugated plastic and tape! Over $3,000 brand new out of the box and now i have to go to home depot to buy stuff to fix a broken machine. The vacuum sensor is now broken. Now i have to hit the reset switch every time i need to run the machine. The reset switch is on the back of the shelving unit. FYI the rivets holding the switch in place have broken (HR told me to take it apart to check the wires for the not working heating bottom shelf) and I'm a little miffed. The customer service rep told me the shelves would have different temperatures and mine was fine. Top shelf 127 degrees bottom shelf 85 degrees! I had to push to get a supervisor to agree that the temperature was out of normal deviation. Still waiting to find out what will happen. Hopefully you only need a reboot and no parts. If you need parts, I'm sorry. Thursday you talk to the rep and he will put in a ticket for a replacement part on friday and tell you that a tracking number will come when it is shipped. If you are lucky you will get the tracking number on Tuesday saying the shipping label has been created and ups is waiting for the package from the shipper. You will call on Friday because the tracking is updated. The service rep will tell you that they generated a ticket and its shipping problem. You will ask to talk to shipping and they will tell you that you can't talk to shipping and the rep has done all they can do. You ask to speak to a manager. The manager says they will follow up. The next Tuesday they will ship the package usps ground as slow as possible. Three weeks after you report a broken part you will get a replacement. I live in NJ i hope you do better than me.

We very really ever get snow here and I just love the look of it , but , on the other hand, hate being freezing cold.lol… we are on the tail end of summer here , but, not too hot today, but expecting a hot weekend…. 37-38 degree Celsius, which I think is around 100 Fahrenheit.

    Oh yeah the 100 F reminds me of our Arizona weather when we lived there! But it sure sounds nice, today we were -14 F and it was sunny but frigid. It sounds like they are shipping me a new part for me to replace myself (the screen or usb portal, I don’t remember my husband talked to the Harvest Right person today) so hoping it’s an easy enough job to change it out ourselves. We will see! I’ll definitely video the process

    OMG!! Don't update the firmware! Mine was down for a week due to attempting this and had to restore the original firmware and it is now working. I had to have HR send me a thumb drive as it didn't like any of mine (now know it was the firmware not the drives) with preloaded firmware, still no go. I then suggested that we put the original firmware back on as we know that worked. I had only run 3 batches at this point. I finally worked after putting the old firmware on and it will stay that way. I asked HR what is supposed to happen when and if I EVER do need to update. I am sure I would need the new USB board so will not temp fate.

  • @kayross8581
    @kayross85815 ай бұрын

    Yes, I had that problem. My screen actually froze after I ran four batches already. They didn’t know if it was the screen or the motherboard so they ended up sending me both. It was pretty simple to take about a week to get my part. I was putting in the motherboard and broke. The little part of the ribbon goes in so they sent me a new one so later I got it so far everything has been running really great. I’m really afraid to do an update on my software. Something like this might happen and I don’t wanna be without my machine. What was the news that he was going to give us about Harvestright doing something the first week in February? Maybe I missed it. Thank you for all your videos and the scenery. That’s the only way I will ever get to go to Alaska. A long way from Kansas.

    Wow! I hope that is all that is wrong. Mine, brand new did not work at all. Talked to the rep and ended up almost rebuilding the whole machine. My husband was so mad because we spent 3,000 on this and it wouldn't work. So we ended up tearing the machine backing completely out and replacing almost the whole thing but not the drum on the shelving. They told us to send them the receipts and they will credit us. Well, we are still waiting. It took us about a month maybe a little more to replace all the parts. I guess we now know how to build one. It is working great now. My guess is that Harvest used all China-made components and not USA-made. They want to skimp on products and then sell the machine to us overpriced and then we have to replace all the parts to American made. Just beware all companies do this. Good luck. Hope it's not as bad as ours.

But I can’t tell you how many repairs I’ve had to do over the last three years since being a Harvest Right owner. They will probably just send you a new motherboard. I think that’s why the newer machines have it so it’s easier to disconnect and put a new board on. Before this you had to take the whole machine apart to get to the motherboard. Please don’t worry. Everything is fixable on the Harvest Right. And if not, they will send you a new machine. They are a good company.
