Great video AZ! MotionRC/Freewing have really improved their game with the trailing link LG. I fly off grass and they're mandatory for grass. If we can get them to design without a FOD/Cheater vent on the belly, the world would be better. It doesn't take any time at all for the blades to get caked with debris flying off grass. I read about pebbles chipping blades from the guys that fly off paved or hard surfaces.

Ive tested foam tac and fix n flex. I mounted a servo to a test piece of foam from a broken wing. The foam tac dries faster but the fix n flex is a much better glue. It took a lot more force to remove from the foam than foam tac. and doesnt melt the foam. Foam tac definitely melts the foam a little. not desirable in my opinion. The fix n flex also doesnt harm the paint.

I may use one next time I need one. Especially as they can come with stablization. Hope you've been recovering from the move. I'm still unpacking but 95 percent. About 50 percent setup but functional workshop.

My right rear elevator rubbed also. You have to loosen the two screws and put a gap in there then re-tighten. Also on the rudder I was confused it said 25mm going each way. I just did mine a total of 25mm left + right.

Overpriced Styrofoam junk build a balsa plane its not difficult i understand real turbine models are out of most peoples price range but that STYROFOAM GARBAGE is a big waist of money

You know... We encounter this type of attitude a lot. So, I thought I would take a moment and write up a response to this. I humbly disagree overall with your statements. You see, as an ambassador of this hobby I want to bring the joy of flying to as many as I can. And yes, balsa is a rewarding part of that as well. But if we had to make every person who wanted to learn to fly spend 3 months building a model from balsa, running OS nitro engines and monokoting there life’s away we would be stepping back into the stone age of RC flight. The reason this hobby keeps growing, innovating and evolving is because foam planes make it accessible to everyone. There is no place for elitism in this hobby. Now yes, my first plane was a nitro great planes balsa trainer more than 20 years ago. And it was super fun. And I still love balsa planes, in fact I love using my laser cutter and designing my own planes. But my ego is not so out of whack that I would look down my nose at people for what they fly. I love balsa, foam, and foamboard planes. In fact, one can argue that the flight test guys have done more for this hobby than almost anyone. Is there joy to be found in the journey of making a balsa plane? Yes! Is there joy to be found in designing your own planes, moding or frankenbuilding planes? Yes! But the idea that you spend months making a plane, to crash and then rebuild for months again means you never gain airtime and thus never master the skill and the joy we all seek is to throw a bird into the sky and pray it comes home in one piece. We believe that there is no right or wrong way of building and designing planes and that using a zealotus perspective through the eyes of elitism and self-importance is damaging to our hobby. We encourage people to find what makes their hearts sing and to have fun learning. Keep flying!

Fact is, everything is going foam. Balsa companies such as PA will be gone by next year. I have been waiting on a canopy for my PA XR61 for 18 months. Out of stock. Foam is easier and cheaper to buy, repair, and fly. This is a great hobby and I am shocked that someone would make this statement. I love my foam jets and would not ask for anything different. I am a pilot, not a builder. I want to fly my planes, not spend months building only to have a problem and spend months repairing. Thank you Motion RC for everything you have brought to our hobby in the last few years. In a time when it is hard to get people to do anything outdoors, you have made it easy an fun for all. It is much appreciated.

@@angryzeppelin2750 You're so right! What difference does it make what the plane is made of? None! Balsa was the material of choice when that's what was available. With modern technology, and CAD, we can build planes with so much detail. And they fly great. I got into the hobby less than a decade ago and only fly electric foamies, except for 1 balsa model given to me. If I had to build with balsa and use internal combustion engines, I would not be able to be in the hobby. I don't have a workshop and the wife would not want the garage stinking up the rest of the house with fumes from my models. And since I'm past Medicare age, I don't want to spend my time building. I got into the hobby to FLY, not build. Building may be a part of the hobby many enjoy more than anything. But it isn't for everyone.

I've got a big waist, but it's not made of money, only fat. Or did you mean waste? Who cares what your plane is made of? Foam, balsa, plastic, whatever flies is what matters. If I enjoy my foamies, then that's not a waste. It's money well-spent and enjoyed!
