Freewing A10 Rivets, Weathering and How I accent Panel Lines
I show you my technics on weathering, rivets and panel line accents. I don't like super heavy weathering. Just enough to make it pop!

I 3d printed the rivet making tools, and they worked perfectly. The secret is: do not get in a hurry. I did it one time, and I regretted it. Just go slowly. It is worth the time, and effort.

I Like checking out everyone’s different weathering techniques, I like the airbrush and have done a few that way, and tried pencils for panel lines on my Flightline F4U and that looks subtle and nice, but I’m definitely giving your way a try next! 👍🏼

You go to all the trouble for rivets and weather and then leave the vertical stab servos black. I painted mine to match on my FW camo L39 and A4 Skyhawk. It looks so much better and it takes nothing to do. I changed my A4 to the Lady Jessie version and did the rivets. Used a center punch. Added vortex generators, added nose gear cover and painted the gear white like the full scale. Really made it pop like your A-10. Your A-10 looks beautiful.

you can use a pencil, the graphite works well too also to make the powder in the rivets. Brush and pencil together give good results

Okay, the 80mm a-10 showed up yesterday. I’m following your lead on the rivers and the acrylic weathering. Unlike the other 40 or so builds I’m not going with my usual “OCD/ADD/ADHD” and try to knock everything out in under an hour/in record time. Since it’s still in the box, should I do the rivets and then the weathering followed by the decals while it’s in pieces? I’m gonna have to get a bigger truck or buy a cargo trailer to get this EDF to the field and back.
