Do it! :D Really fun bird! Only downfall is length of fuse for transport and 2 battery for one flight.

I use SMC 6300 LIHV batteries. They are about the biggest you can put in there and I had to shave a little off the bottom of the canopy. 88mm to 90mm from the leading edge. Also move the blue box back about 4 to 5 inches. All it is, is glue holding it down. I took it off and used foamtac and re glued it. Battery placement is exactly where BD has them. I use 6300 packs so I moved back just a little more. Overall amazing plane and that whistle reminds me of the A-10s when I was stationed at Moody AFB in Georgia.

😅 by the book and OMG it was nose heavy. I almost totaled it. Luckily, I got it back around and landed. I watched your maiden and then set it at 89mm as CG. Just got back from the field, and wow, she can boogie. Flaired it on landing and beautiful landing. As you know, we fly off of grass, so you have to touch mains first and let that front gear just settle in. Heavy plane with the batteries, she will glide and come in a little hot. But overall, it's a great plane. I have the special edition which had the inrunners. Awesome advice and for any one buying this plane please follow BDs advice.

Yes,book setting is terrible. 3 issues which i seen that give this A-10 issues from the start. Since making this video i pushed both battery back couple more inches and balance at 110mm.

@BDTennessee Just saw this post, and I feel you are right, BD. Since I have flown it a few times now. I've had to push the rear battery back almost to the edge of the strap. I'm going to have to get my dremel out and make two notches for another strap. Because it was still pitching down, and i had to trim almost 100% to just maintain a slightly level flight. In the meantime, I've mechanically adjusted my elevators up about 7mm because it's still slightly nose heavy until I can cut a couple of slots to put another strap on the rear battery. Don't know why freewing is still putting out such a foward CG when it's a KNOWN issue. Keep up the good work, brother.

I noticed on your first maiden flight and used 88mm for your CG, you had all of the ordinance attached to both wings. On your second flight review, I noticed you removed the ordinance, used the same 88mm rather than 78mm and moved the batteries back perhaps an inch or so. Did you move the batteries back to accommodate the lack of ordinance and changed the CG? Enjoy your flight videos and commentary.

Maiden flight i had them on in first start of video but not in flight. All my flights i left them off. Since making this video i moved CG back to 110mm...
