I quit my job in 2018 to become a full-time freelancer because it was pretty cool at that time. But as time passed my clients started preferring Salaried Professionals more because it is very cheap to pay a salaried employee for his/her time rather than paying a freelancer for the work that has been done. In India, Freelancing culture has not yet flourished, and it is miles far from true. I regret my time not getting a proper Job & completing my master's. I was in this bubble that "Who needs a degree when you can just freelance!" My BAD! :(

@@mrdotak6 Hi yes! I am 25+ now bouncing back... applying for jobs, infact got a job because of my freelancing contacts! Touchwood. And will be opting for my Masters very soon... It's going to be tough because other people my age are already settled in life. But yes, I am super excited because I am not getting that degree just for the sake of it. This time I know its value. Also, I keep myself updated & educated on Finance, Marketing via KZread. Still a long way to go but not impossible.

Free lancing is not about degree or anything its all about skills. One of my frnd without cs degree earning 1 lakh+ per month because he know his work very well and he is expert in that. So guys if u are good at something just do it no matter u have degree or not... Focus on your skills and u can earn much more thn a degree guy.

I think GOVT. should bring in some good laws regarding freelancing. Like, payment within certain time. Making mandatory work appointment letter even if its for a week & giving experience letter if the work is more than a week. As an freelance engineer, when I give interview for permanent jobs, they don’t see value of freelance job saying you don’t have any paper. Those HR are real scammers, they want the skill you have but wouldn’t pay you fairly because you don’t have letters. I had that problem with India’s biggest company. Unfortunately I was kept on hold because I didn’t had CTC or appointment letter. I cracked the technical interview but HR was real scammer. She decrease my value by almost 30% from what I asked for. I never thought, that my paper was more important then my skill. Now I intend to serve in Gulf countries. They pay me fair for my skill.

Exactllllyyyy. I have a total of three years of professional experience producing content for both freelance clients and corporations. Yet I am still working a fixed job at an MNC. These fake freelance motivational freaks really need to stop pushing people in the wrong direction. Freelancing is no joke and requires you to be highly skilled, even more than full-time professionals to land high paying gigs.

I have a 40k client who just needs 3-4 video and he is an Indian client and i am in +1 but I really appreciate this video i have to invest 3-4 years to learn freelancing and have clients.

I must say this is one of the best shorts on KZread. It has hit the bull's eye. I would personally say expertise alone won't help, economical backing is another important thing. Fundings, sponsorship, collaboration etc will come only if you get successful. To prove your talent you have to invest first.

People will learn with trial and error, and if someone really wants to do it they will learn, So don't be afraid folks , Try whatever you like, Invest some time to learn the skill , keep the basics right , And you're good to go

@@velmascientista7026 in coding field I would say there's lot of field which are untouched in India, obviously a job will be safer option: but you can create some potential/passive income sources such as some websites like Instagram reels downloader etc etc, Also Discord bot, telegram bot, some small game applications etc which can easily give you passive income then you can live Good life on low paying job And upskill to get better job. Also I just work 2-3 hours (complete ) for freelancing and it gives me good enough but again in my case its luck

Am freelancer from last 5 years and earning from abroad. Experience matters a lot, since you are independent, and no to guide you on daily basis, so not only your decision but indepth understanding of subject along with latest technologies trends equally important. Most of freelancing companies in Eupore and America having 5-6 employees only but earning a lot.

It's depends on skill sets. I am a IT guy with no college degree. Still I tried to get freelance and got 40k to 50k a month.

Yeah, this is so true, a lot of people don’t have any expertise on any of the subject, but they are keep applying to everything I seen so many people who don’t even have any knowledge of illustrations or art in general.
