Well I had a choice for this episode have a really short one or a really long one missions 6 was only like 10 min so I decided to do mission 7 as well.. Enjoy :)
I'm picturing Trent sitting in the ship getting ready to leave the station. When the doors open and the operator says "you're clear to depart. stay safe out there.", all we see out there is a serious dogfight happening. What's going through Trent's mind? "No thank you. I'll stay right here for a bit."
This brings back so many memories. Played this game for thousands of hours and never got tired of it.

I hated the Bretonnian designs, was glad to have the Piranha.
I remember playing this, and working until I had a really good ship for each section... I also preferred running the Frieghters. Dunno why, they're slow, poorly armed for their size but I was one of those that loved just existing in a universe. I'd go out into the asteroid or scrap fields and just fill my hold with stuff to sell to get better weapons. I did this each time I got to a new area, not progressing the story until I had the absolute best I could get in each area. This game was my Elite.

Same here. Starting with the Rhino, it was transports all the way.
You raced perfectly. Great job! I recall struggling with that several times but I don’t think I had a ship as agile as the Pirahna then.

Yeah it was all the ship..
Ah, and here I thought you didn't know about strafing. I found it critical to stay alive in later missions (or maybe 12 y/o me was just crap at gaming. lol) Oh, and is that some freeflight I see? This playthrough is a fantastic showcase of player progression in game. Slowly breaking out those advanced combat strats.
Wonderboy, to complete the game experience during one of these later downtimes between missions do trading instead of just fighting. Show us the stock market function, etc. Nothing stopping you taking a combat mission heading in the same direction though, but choose the trade destination first and take a combat mission accordingly.

yeah totally should do that..
Why'd in every store, there are some freaky statues in their building 👹👺
Are you happy that Gunboats and Capital ships don't have shields proportional to their size? They also missed a chance for a good pun, "A working Dahm'Kavah artifact? I can't wait to see the Dahm thing" 32:24 - i bet you wish you had a heavy fighter right then to kill those Gunships faster If I remember correctly about the screen that shows you a list of your relationship with the different factions, you can click on a faction name and find out about them. For example, the Golden Chrysanthemums were formed due to the sheer sexism in Kusari culture.
this doc....look like klaus swhaub or something

I rather like her. But then games of this genre are personality starved, becuse its all about the spaceships. So I am eager for all the cutscenes with all the characters. Once the campaign is over there are no more, just flying. You meet Juni once and none of the rest. You cant fly around and meet people IIRC.
