It has been years since I last dove that spring. I want to go back again. When I finally got to the spring, the first time, I was very disappointed. That was until I stuck my face in the water. I was completely blown away. This is a great video, but it does not truly do it justice. It is massive and clear, so long as it is not flooded and browned out. My first trip, the water was so clear you could not tell depth. 70 ft looked like 30ft. The second time at 30 ft you could only see 6 inches with a light.

Hey Brian myself and another freediver from Ohio met up with another buddy that lives in Tampa and the three of us set off for this adventure also! The swamp was even a bit more flooded but we were lucky and found it in about 30-45 minutes. It was only then that we discovered it was browned (more like blacked out) and we were not able to dive it. We then set out for Eagles Nest and promptly got my minivan stuck in sand but thankfully we had two vehicles and my buddy went for help. Then Eagles Nest was also browned out. Even though we didn't get to dive it was still an awesome adventure for us Ohio guys and our Florida bud. We will be back to tackle it again someday. Thanks for posting this and bringing back the memories from 2 summers ago!

As an 18yr master technical scuba diver, kudos to you guys, I'm impressed by this style of diving, I'd like to see ya do more like this. Being somewhere few men or no man has ever gone is a rush in it's own. Keep it safe guys....

Hey i found the first spring you ran into today and must say not a bad dive. A lot of bottom sedament and pretty extensive. No gators 👍

Brian Russell it did take a lot of convincing my self everything would be ok 👌 and a thorough look for gators. A week prior was at silver glen with a huge gator

Just think I feel as a 5 foot scuba diver who dives in steel. I'd have to have a rope around me so that my buddies could pull me and my steel, which would be sunk up to my chest, out of the mud, or I'd become gator snacks.
