Thanks for highlighting one of the hidden gems of FreeCAD. Being able to treat a sketch like a drawing object makes working with them very flexible. The ability to clear the support for the sketch is also a great feature.

Indeed, it's a nice hidden gem - but at the same time, it also shows some of the clunkiness of FreeCAD, putting common operations in different work benches, making you interrupt your workflow just because you want to move or rotate a sketch.

Thank you. I'm wondering if you can make a video about moving the working plane to accommodate a revolution, and/or groove.

It took me a few tries before I understood that I have to click the center point or rim of the circle I've selected before I click the vertex to which I wish to move or copy the circle. This isn't very intuitive. Clicking anywhere other than the center or rim of the circle selects an offset from the center point which is applied to the destination vertex. It wouldn't be implemented this way if there wasn't a purpose, but I'm not sure what that purpose might be. Can you clairify?

How come when I save a part and go back to work on it when I add a sketch and fully constrain I close and it disappears from the part

I have a fair amount of experience with FreeCAD now, but I can't for the life of me get this to work. Is there a setting or something that could be different with my FreeCAD affecting the snap behaviour? Tried both vanilla and LS3 versions of FreeCAD. I need to align an SVG into my current design.

Time saver? Make it more like SW.

Your be happy to know the new version of freecad is getting more and more like those of commercial options. Especially with the sketcher. I have a video being released soon which will be showing off these new features.
