What a wonderful tribute to Terry Gordy. The Freebirds defined greatness in wrestling back in the 1980’s and literally brought many territories back to life.

I miss, like really miss the 80's. Especially watching wrestling with my Dad every weekend. I miss the NWA, AWA, WccW, (old)-WCW, and the other territories. The Road Warriors, Free Birds, Von Erich's, Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams, Jim Garvin and Sunshine, Koloff's, Midnight Expreess, Midnight Rockers, Midnight Rockers, etc.....Those were great times and great wrestling. The guys and gals today will never ever match up to those old dogs.

I was able to meet Terry Gordy when I was 12 (1986). He was an uncle to a childhood friend that I grew up with in East Lake( downtown Chattanooga, about 2 miles from where he's buried). I can still remember shaking his hand,, it was twice the size of a normal hand. Always loved the freebirds

Michael not only have you lost Terry and now Buddy, you have watched a lot of guys leave, many who left too soon. Reality has placed you now in the position along with guys like Kevin Von Erich, Sting, Undertaker and others in a position of being the elder statesmen of the business. Keep sharing your memories with the young guys.

Michael Hayes did a great job on this tribute song to his brother Terry Gordy and to the people with negative comments about this should have kept their snide comments to themselves instead of making jokes about a person mourning the loss of a loved one. It really just amazes me how classless people are in today's time. I guarantee these people wouldn't be joking about this if it was one of their loved ones.

The Freebirds vs the Von Erichs is my all-time favorite feud. With the unimaginable tragedies that surround the Von Erich family it's easy for me to forget that Terry Gordy also passed away far too soon at only 40 years old. He was one of the toughest guys in wrestling and as a huge fan of the Von Erichs as a kid I feared him every time he got into the ring with one of them because I knew he was going to do some damage to my heroes lol. Michael PS Hayes. You sir did the ultimate tribute to BamBam in my humble opinion here. He was no question one of the absolute best. And certainly one of the best bigger guys in the wrestling world. And I know that if he were here today and in a matter of speaking in his prime. He could damn sure go toe to toe with anyone on any given night. He had some of the most legendary matches ever with "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. Those 2 bulls going at one another. Was a site to see. I only wish that I would have had the honor of seeing Terry as well as Buddy in person. But I am certainly glad that I at the very least got to see them on tv. Weather you loved or hated The Freebird. There was no denying how damn good they was.

When you're that young you don't understand the concept of the business, but as I got older and especially as these legends began to leave us you realize just how special they were, rather face or heel. Terry Gordy is one of those legends, wonderful tribute from Michael Hayes.

Terry Gordy's boot should have a spot all alone in the HOF. Even as heels The Fabulous Freebirds were living the life in WCCW. When the unthinkable started happening to the Von Erich's it was the FreeBirds who stepped up. They instantly went from the most hated in Texas to the most loved. Only four wrestlers passing away ever affected me. That would be David Von Erich, Buddy Roberts, Gino Hernandez, and Terry Gordy.

I'm not the biggest fan of PS Hayes, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for the man. He gave his boy Terry Gordy a truly heartfelt tribute. A tribute not just to a legend, but an icon.

Just seen the trailer for The Iron Claw...oh my gosh the memories. I always said the best feud ever in professional wrestling was Von Erich/Fabulous Freebirds. How great was it ? 35-40 years later here we are STILL talking about it and now get to watch a movie about it. Hats off to Fritz and family...but man, hats off to PS, Bam Bam, and Buddy Jack ! Thankful we still got Kevin and Michael around. This is wrestling...and these men were the best at it. Hopefully PS reads this...thank you for some great memories. BADSTREET USA !

Very fitting that they used the music of the Van Zant Brothers about Ronnie. There all freebirds now. My life is better just to have been so entertained by lynryd skynyrd and Terry Gordy. In both instances they had to leave us way too soon. May they all R.I.P.✝️😪

This is how you pay tribute to your brother. I grew up a a huge freebirds fan. Heels? Baby faces? Didn't matter, they were rockstars- bad asses, larger than life. These guys entertained me and other fans for so many years and now? Half of them are gone. Just shows you just how precious life really is. RIP Terry & Buddy.

Once announced at some very very small Indy shows that featured Terry while he was recovering from his mid air near fatal accidental overdose while aboard a plane. Terry forty was a very kind man and never talked down to anyone. One of the kindest people I ever met in any way and along with Bob Armstrong was for sure the kindest in a wrestling industry that has its share of arrogant people. But, not Terry. This is a touching tribute by Michael's. Terry gordy will be missed for a long time for sure.
