WinTV-8 crashed a lot. I found that if I went through the bother of setting up the drivers on my Linux box and then running Kaffine to watch TV was better. Maybe WinTV10 has the problems fixed. WinTV-8 had the ability to record TV programs. I assume WinTV-10 does too. A nice thing about recording is that you can set it to record some of those old movies or programs that come on in the small hours of the morning and then watch them at a reasonable time.

I haven’t used WinTV v8. Last one I used was probably v5 or something super old. V10 works well, only thing I don’t like is it takes a few seconds when you switch channels or do epg etc, but otherwise works fine. I like WMC and MediaPortal though for their GUI

@@cs.studios Kaffine also lags on doing EPG. I think that comes with the technology used to transmit it. A lag on changing channels may be just how long the tuner needs to lock onto a signal. It takes some time to settle.
