I don’t know if anyone else feels this; but, I find it very relaxing when I watch a video where someone is knitting (or crochet). I like this pattern a lot, so maybe that’s it? Thank you Ashley for this video and pattern. 😄

There are a few channels that do knitting vlogs where it's just them...knitting, and talking about knitting really softly. I legitimately watch them to fall asleep lol I'm also making my own sweater, winging it with this video! Than you so much for making it!

Totally agree. It’s soothing. 😌
Finished the bulky one, turned out my loveliest piece, now starting this one. There are very limited tutorials on knitting for beginners, I am so glad you are doing it. Keep making more tutorials and we will sail through with you.
I made your raglan sweater with a chunky yarn to understand the concept of raglan increases!! its so big and comfy and i am comfy to move on to my thinner yarns. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for making this easy to follow pattern and actually explaining how it's constructed so it can be made to fit. What a joy to follow along. Can't wait to finish my first sweater!
This is a great tutorial and pattern! Just what I was looking for, and with very clear directions. Thank you so much!
I finished making this last night. I loved being able to try it on as I went and customize the fit. Thanks for the great pattern.
This is a great free sweater pattern! I found it with a google search and an interest to find a basic pattern direct from the designer. I used your pattern to make a super comfy sweatshirt style sweater for everyday wear. I knit it at a slightly looser gauge and made the sleeves a contrast color. My collar ended up being sloppy because of my gauge changes- but I anticipated that would happen. I went back and picked up stitches to make a folded collar to put a drawstring through for a sporty look. I just posted the video today on my channel about the change in the neckline and my pattern notes on my blog. I really love how it turned out! I will definitely use it again for other versions and it will also be a great resource to encourage new knitters to try. I will admit that as I am an experienced knitter I did not watch this tutorial to knit my sweater, but it wasn't needed as your written instructions were well written. Thanks Ashley! I am glad google brought me to your door.
It looks like a knitted sweatshirt - just perfect to cozy up in. Can't wait to try it!

I’ve just finish the first 8 rows using the recommended yar , which is lovely and affordable. I’m an experienced knitter but have never made a sweater in the round. Your explanations are so well done and easy to follow!
I am a fairly experienced knitter (English style) and in all my years knitting I had never tried the top-down way to knit a sweater before. Spotted your pattern and this video and it's been so much fun. I love this technique and your video is so helpful. I suspect this is how I will be making sweaters for years to come - thank you 🤩

Very nice. I'm finishing up my first sweater in the bulky weight n don't care for it, way too heavy. But it was a great first sweater and learning to read patterns. This will be a great second sweater. The tutorial really helps.

I am new to knitting in my retirement years even though i learned to knit as a child. Thank you so much for your tutorials on how to knit sweaters you have helped me so much. I do not have worsted yarn as in South Africa is never get cold enough to wear worsted. I used DK and added lace mohair and will knit a bigger size as i want it big and comfy. @@AshleyLillisKnits so I've moved on to the Ragland increases. It was a tough concept to grasp. I am to making a turtleneck with a 5 mm needle and the body with a 5.5mm. Since you taught me the construction of sweater making, I am able to make something that is highly personalized.

I made this sweater before and i love it. Thank you so much for the video to help. I was wondering if you have another pattern similar to this using the 5 mm circular needles with neck line shaping. Is there a way to add german short rows to this pattern? If so how?
I’m loving this tutorial! The only thing that was hard was when your hands would go out of frame when you were demonstrating I did I have to look up other videos to see how to do it- but besides that it’s great!
I'm knitting a sweater not this pattern and the instructions are to cast on the stitches not at the beginning but at the end of that row, after you have removed those sleeve stitches to a piece of yarn. Does it matter if you cast on at beginning or end? Thanks so much for this tutorial, it really has helped.
