@@armybande2.036 Because he wasn't like every other wrestler back then. He was doing his own thing with his own character. I knew that once he became popular in AEW (which was bound to happen given how charismatic he is without even saying a word) the execs at AEW would need to change his character to please the Meltzers of the world, who have one view of how wrestling is supposed to be. OC used to beat his opponents by messing with their heads and outsmarting them. That's how him and PAC got a standing ovation in a match that was supposed to be a bathroom break match of that PPV. They also had JR laughing his ass off, that's a feat. Now Orange Cassidy does Roman Reigns' Superman Punch and has a traditional finisher. He's getting real close to losing what made him special. That's why I miss THIS Orange Cassidy. He was fun to watch, and funny too. Now he's just like everyone else on the roster.
