Installation instructions for the Heatwave free plugin: The Heatwave plugin is free at the time this video was released, but it does require you to create a free Slate Digital Account and free iLok account if you don't have one. I went through the process with a new email and secondary computer I only use for testing to ensure the plugin can be downloaded and installed - everything worked but it does take about 10-15 minutes to install. No purchase is required regardless of whether you are a new or current Slate Digital customer. Here is what I did: 1. Click on the "Get if Free" button and Sign up for a free Slate Digital account. 2. Verify using the confirmation email in your inbox. 3. Enter your iLok user account info on the confirmation page (sign up for a free iLok account if you do not already have one). 4. Download the installer and run Slate Digital Connect (if you already have it you can just run the app). 5. Log into your Slate Digital user account and download the Heatwave installer. 6. Install Heatwave and activate your free license using the "Activate" button in Slate Digital Connect. If you already have a Slate Digital Account (account only, no subscription required) and an iLok account you can go straight to step 5 above after clicking on the "get it Free" button for Heatwave and then the "Sign In" link below the sign up box.

Heatwave sounds like a pass. Annoying that Slate have no deals on their rent plugins, but I suppose they won't be able to get away with renting their most valuable assets if people outright own them.

You are right I have no use for it but I still have it though tried it on drums didn’t work and haven’t seen any use for it

This plugin is a bit overkill, it's better for sound design, the saturation sounds good tho
