I’m so happy you rescue all of the food and usable items that you do. It’s great that you share them too. In a world that has so many hungry people it’s a travesty that the food ends up in the dumpster

Mommy my friends and I rescued 41 baby raccoons this year they were with us since April and we released them on a farm last Sunday it was very rewarding to see them go free, God Bless nice haul

My friend from HS (Class of 1974) had a pet raccoon and once took her into Olan Mills to have a professional portrait done of the two of them. Funniest thing I've ever seen...she was smiling and had her little paws crossed on her belly. The raccoon looked cute as well.

I like when the grocery store supplies a basket for your dumpster diving pleasure of picking their thrown away treasures! LOL! How nice and convenient of them! Save-A-Lot.....a shameful waste of produce.

A commemorative coin was minted for the raccoon man . He was a police officer and saw a flying saucer. He feeds them hot dogs, marshmallows,grapes and cookies. They have names and take the food from his hands. He’s wonderful!

Way to go FD. I was beginning to think you were getting enough for all your followers. Super duper haul and FM is so exited to get busy cooking.

OMG -what a haul! I'm a nervous wreck until he gets loaded up and leaves. So much variety! My aunt had a pet raccoon. He would bite my grandma's heels on the back. He cleaned out the goldfish bowl and opened the doors. You might want to think about this . . .

His name is Jim Blackwood and he is in Nova Scotia. I have been subscribed to his channel for a few years. Jim is currently recovering from major surgery so his wife Angie (originally from Atlanta) is caring for the animals. They have a very varied diet of hot dogs (chicken), cookies, dog food, marshmallows, cereal, fruit and even hamburger helper. Checkout the one with the 3 orphaned kitts it is hilarious.

One hell of a haul Frugal Daddy!! All that produce makes me jealous. Love this huge haul. ❤️❤️❤️

I got so much meat last night it was unbelievable. You guys inspire me. Sonja , Tampa, Florida P.S... We have raccoons come for our trash bins. One will hold the lid up while the others retrieve food. One got stuck in the bin when it was low. They are so smart that 3 of them formed a chain into the bin to allow the stuck one out.

That was one good haul FD . It still blows my mind on how much the stores throw away . I can't see why they can't donate it to a charity or soup kitchen or even find someone that has farm animals that they could give them to instead of just throwing it away. Wow! What a hall of groceries. I always wash my meat. In a bowl mix water and apple cider vinegar. Let it soak in the water and apple cider vinegar for a wee bit. Pour off & pat dry. This cleans and tenderize the meat. Season your meat the way you like

Been feeding them for years, maybe about 12 years for sure! I live in a neighborhood that is pretty well populated with people but I keep my backyard very woodsy. I'm sure they don't like me feeding them but I feed everything, birds, crows and squirrels also. I do buy peanuts which racoons love and pick up cookies with frosting in the middle. My grapes for them come from the produce dumpster as well. Had one knocking on my front door the other day at 3am and I looked out and opened the door and he looked at me as if to say Where's my dinner!

The whole last part of this video, all I wanted to do was reach out and snack on those tomatoes. Great haul, and I, of course, love you guys and your silly banter.

Also, maybe you could look into doing raccoon rehab? I don't personally like wild animals being kept as pets, but there's a huge need for people to rehab orphaned babies!

I love a tomato sandwich. My grandma taught me about those years and years and years ago. It’s a good thing I like them because I’m getting about eight tomatoes a day out of my garden right now. Just the perfect bread size tomatoes.

I would check with a vet or the zoo before getting a raccoon. Also would consider the laws in your town.They are cute but I would research it first.

Raccoon makes the best pet you could have. My brother brought me home a baby 1 and I had him for 11 years. Litter trained and slept right in bed with me. Loved him

We were raised eating tomato sandwiches. Also bacon, lettuce and tomato’s. We had one for lunch today. Our little tomato patch has given us plenty on 6 plants. We have shared some with family and friends.

FD should have taken that corn flour masa bag that was leaking a tiny bit. That’s great for frying! And when u bake breads at the bottom of the pan.

That's a lot of food! The cauliflower honestly looks better than what my local Meijer grocery was selling yesterday!

I live in the country with lots of wild animals. They are the main reason I dive. Last winter I got so many oranges I stored them in the garage. I forgot to close the door and raccoons stole every orange in one night. I found oranges hidden in odd places for weeks. 😂

My cousin rescued raccoon babies that the momma was killed and raised them. They were so dang cute!!

Have you ever made cauliflower fried rice? My step-daughter makes it and it is absolutely delicious!!

Raccoons are super cute especially when they are climbing up the wall of my house and looking in the window. Yes it happened! A little one, broad daylight. Hubby said no on keeping it. He doesn't appreciate them climbing in the combine and tractor engines taking a big stinky. Not to mention what they do in the barns. We had a momma and babies living in the unattatched garage over his work truck. They used the "toilet" in the same spot until it soaked through the wood and it started to rot. You have City Raccoons and we have Country Raccoons!

Raccoons are really cute but they’re stubborn. There were 2 here & decided they wanted to live where so they chewed holes in my roof to live in the attic! My friend spent thousands of $$ to get rid of them. But they are cute!!!

Hi Frugal Raccoons, I love tomato sandwiches too. The English love cucumber sandwiches which I think Americans should try, nice n’ crunchy. I tried that mayonnaise u like and it wasn’t as bad as when I was a kid. I favor Hellmans, but I can now eat the other if I don’t have it. A lot of good ham for the dogs and cats too if u have no room in the refrigerator. U can make a lot of BLT’s with all those tomatoes.

It was so cute but if they left him alone while they were gone he would get in to the cabinet and make a big mess with flour and food. He then would go in and get in the bed and go to sleep. Raccoons are highly intelligent just make sure they are up on their shots. Honestly raccoons are called trash pandas they love dumpster diving! My mom had a pet raccoon and my Uncle used to give him a cube of sugar and they clean their food so the raccoon would clean the sugar cube and when he was done the sugar cube had disappeared with all the cleaning ...my Mom would give him a grape and he loved them the best.

I have three dehydrators going right now on bell peppers, white onions, cantaloupe and then radishes and tomatoes. Have gallon jar's to be filled but keep moisture pack in them. Food last 22 years so do it right. Grown to keep foods in our family we save tons of money.

I just can't stop looking at FD chewing away. Nothing seems to stop him enjoying his munchees❤
