I always get so nervous when FD has spent a long time in the dumpster. I keep thinking "Hurry, FD, hurry! Someone's going to come out and see you!"

A few years ago, we stopped at a yardsale in a small town. A semi truck pulled up, and parked in front of the house where we were looking at all the yardsale goodies. It was the woman's son that was having the sale. He had a heaping load of greenbeans in the truck. He ask everyone if they wanted some free greenbeans. Well he was over weight, and promised his mom that he would replace her garbage bags, an everyone went away with an over stuffed garbage bag. Man we're they ever great. Fresh out of the field green beans. We shared with our family and neighbors. I have never tasted such great greenbeans.

@@freakinfrugal5268 they used some sort of machine. He transported for Libbys. I used to work for this one woman that I would take her to get her hair done by the Libbys company. In September, we would watch semi's bringing in pumpkins for can pumpkin. The truck would be lifted up, with the front being higher . The back door's of the trailer would open , and all the pumpkins would roll out, into this underground bunker. It was so cool.

Frugal Daddy! Be careful! I cringed when you stepped poorly off the step. That hurts! Glad you are okay. I love you both and love watching this channel. You have such beautiful hauls!

It's really a crying shame, to still see so much waste in the garbage, I know we all throw food out but I'm getting better at making smaller meals for my family of four, so we don't waste much

Save leftovers and put in plastic bag into the freezer. At end of a week make soup out of it or put dumplings in it. Adjust meats and seasonings! Most are really good!

I had to laugh when Frugal Daddy said “Pizza Delivery Man.”That’s what the guys look like when they deliver here. But my goodness when Frugal Daddy took a misstep on the stepladder I yelled “Oh no!”. I get the feeling Frugal Daddy adopts all the food he gets in the dumpster as family.

The French pancakes are 4.00 for that little bag!! I'm actually a manager for Aldi in Indiana and I LOVE that you guys rescue all the stuff we WASTE!! IT MAKES ME NUTS TO SEE DAILY WHAT WE CALL TRASH

The amount of food waste is shameful! I’m so glad you were able to save all that and share it as well! Hope your ankle is ok by the way! (Mrs. 2 the geekdad)

My ruler foods had a $1.99 limit of 5 dozen a couple weeks ago a that store was busier than ever I bet. It’s not in the best part of town but for $1.99 eggs people flocked.

Over at Save a lot the other day, I have found over 40 pounds of chicken drumsticks, and chicken breasts. I also found 12 bottles of Hand soaps refills. Coconut hand soap, and avocado oil hand soap.

I make my applebutter in the crockpot. It is so much easier. I use it on my biscuits, toast, and inside my fried pies.
