ITs so freaking awesome that Ikram now is also in the UFC, he won yesterday his fight in the Contendor series and Dana give him the contract. Ikram stands now on 13:1, only Khamzat beat him. Khamzat say 1-2 days before the Burns fight that Ikram was his strongest opponent.

That was one of the cleanest uppercuts....Period. That plus the Gangster's Life instrumental was....immaculate. But I have to give it up to Ikram, that was some serious takedown defence and he wasn't afraid to stand up either. I'm glad Ikram is in the UFC now.

Just goes to show, being a "nobody" doesn't mean youre a push over. Ikram is a badass and he got knocked the fuck out by the wolf. He's now in the UFC and I expect to see more from him in the future. This guy was solid all around.

@@thanosbustedinyourmum Dude's a national sambo champion, has been winning gold medals since 2012 and is only 29 years old. And 13-1 in mma. Might go on to be a top 5 fighter (can't imagine him taking a belt from Khamzat or Usman though). Every great fighter starts out as an unknown.

@@Jewruthejew I mean a KO can come pretty quickly, it was competitive before that, Khamzat won all his fights in the UFC in few minutes besides Burns and Usman, this one seemed more competitihe than most of his UFC fights

This was one of his toughest opponents and honestly this guy is probably tougher than any of the people he’s faced in the UFC except for Gilbert burns
And Ikram won his UFC debut via KO vs Phil 💪

Chimaev would have thrashed Nate, especially with what he did to Nate who is basically a younger, faster, and more dangerous version of Nate in a lot of ways

The punch that Ikram threw right before he got KO'd, that was one of the most telegraphed punches, Khamzat dodged and blocked with ease. Still what Khamzat did afterwards was so perfectly placed with great power. Impressive.

One of the cleanest uppercuts I've seen in mma
He did better than most do against Khamzat.
If I were a UFC fighter from the States or any other western country, I'd just go to Dagestan or Chechnya, pay them, and get proper training in the wrestling department.
A great one to go back and watch for sure ☝

I'm personally not a big fan of Chemiev although he's a hell of a fighter, but that upper cut was as clean as it gets!
This guy is something else. Unrefined here, but you can clearly see the potential. A 1 round domination, though excellent takedown defense by the opponent, despite having practically no control time. If anyone knows how much control time he had let me know.

It's crazy that both of them are in the UFC now and both in the same division. If they have a rematch someday I'll put my money on Ikram. He's an absolute beast.

ikram grappling is extremely good, i am looking forward to see him dominate the ufc, probably see them do a rematch once theyre both at the top!
This guys fought each other in such a young age: 26(Aliskerov) 24(Khamzat) Now both guys were able to polish their skillsets and techniques as both of them have gotten older and matured as a Mix Martial Artist, their fight games have also drastically improved since they last met each other in the cage, both now have a decent MMA experience, and currently both of them are in the UFC and running through their division so I won't be surprise if they see each other again in Octagon sooner or later. For this fight we could see that Aliskerov having a Sambo background have a far batter grappling than Chimaev, especially his base see in 4:22 and 3:00 where Aliskerov almost got in the better position And Khamzat proving that he was the more polished striker of the two seen in 2:12 with his step in power jab and 4:08 that feint shot into right hand into stance shift

Khamzat left himself open at the very beginning.... you could see the same types of problems he had with Gilbert Burns, but he took this 8-0 guy out pretty quick. Ikram will definitely do well in the future as well!

Khamzat beat #2 and #1 and had easy wins besides those 2, he probably has close something like 8-9 fights, Aliskerov did 2 fights in the UFC, not how it works. It's not because you don't win in 2 minutes that you should take everyone, his next fight is even a title fight according to Dana
