Hard agree. Just way too many jump cuts, too many cutaways, and too many jokes packed in to really be able to focus on/follow along. I feel like this video permanently damaged my attention span 😭

The collab didn't work for me in this one, your styles are just in such contrast. For me, the strength of this channel is its nuanced understanding of the Office across all season, within the fandom and even within the historical real life events going on with the writers. This deep knowledge is something Jordan obviously didn't have - not that he was trying to say he did, but it just was so far away from what I come to the channel to see. The editing and commentary of Jordan's section was also so loud and fast, it was hard to watch for me. Additionally, this is one of, if the THE most unhinged episodes of the office and we needed maximum Mulverine time talking about it. You touched on most of it, but Darryl's bizarre family portrait situation, the unexplainable diaper DNA fiasco, Robert California's identity, Andy giving Nellie a job for really no reason. These things will come to make no sense in season 9 - Darryl will wish he was broken up with Val, Dwight is the father and Andy will be plotting to desperately get rid of Nellie as if he's not the reason she's even there. Would have liked you to get into some of that. Great video as always and I'm sure Jordan's channel is great! Just didn't work here imo.

I agree with your first part but your second part makes no sense. Mulverine is re watching these episodes and writing scripts about them for these videos so he's probably not that far yet

@@slaybomb96 I mean he's seen the whole series and regularly comments on how certain episodes are laying the foundation for future events. I didn't expect him to comment on things in great detail as if he just watched the episodes.

Please no more collaboration. The 8th season is already tough enough.

That guy was really entertaining but the collab doesn’t work for your videos, completely different tones and styles between you and him. Still a good video.

Robert is one of those people who are always just a visitor, snywhere he goes. He never belongs. I think Creed's family portrait is great!

Glad to see Mulverine powering through these last two seasons.. lots of hits and misses

Just a shot of Pam tossing a diaper in the same trash after Angela, and Dwight grabbing a diaper from that trash perfectly fixes the only thing about this show that i actually hate. From now on in my head, its a Halpert poop - a Halpoop - that was tested, not a Schrute sample. Thank you

I really just don’t understand who was excited to come back for season 9 back in the day. After season 8-the entirety and the finale-I don’t think I would’ve wanted to watch more. When you stream, you get that feeling of “oh, it’s only one more season.” You want to power through even if it’s not as enjoyable as it used to be, you’re just so close. But having to wait another entire year to get to the end sounds like it just wouldn’t have been appealing whatsoever (even though in my opinion season 9 is a massive improvement over season 8-as a whole, not just the series finale).

Maybe this isn't a popular opinion but the brightness of season 8 and 9 hurts my eyes It's too much too not office

Well...that was painful to watch.

I always thought the fact that Jim not knowing about David being a millionaire after suckit was kind of a plot hole especially considering they were such good friends before the company was sold. Second, it is perfectly in character for Andy to give Nelly mercy. While it takes away from what would be an earned victory, especially since that was not his plan, firing hire out of malice is not something he would have done. It's not very heroic and even Michael would have capitulated.

I agree with you regarding Andy. He can be a dick but he’s too good of a human on a basic level to be truly cruel. Even in season 9, the worst he can come up with is bringing in two people’s exes

Also, I can see him trying to fire Plop because Plop, in Andy’s mind, interfered with his personal life rather than his professional one, and never appeared as openly sympathetic to Andy as Nellie did in times where he has been kind to her

I liked dr. Breeding and I’m going to go check him out! I think you just need to work your collars more organically. Don’t give your collaborator 5 minutes solo to pitch their channel, talk back and forth with them the entire video!

@@Mulverine It began in 2009 and ended its original run in 2010 and recently got a third season in 2023! Who knows if it’ll continue but fingers are crossed for all the fans and everyone involved (according to interviews). I would be eternally grateful to see a review on your channel, but nevertheless I know you’ll love the experience- it has somehow topped all shows in the schurverse for me as of late.

Sex jokes and cannibalism jokes! Just what I wasn't asking I'm sure he's a nice guy but this just doesn't fit the channel. As to the episode, so many feelings. The actual photo studio business is hilarious, I love Nellie getting removed and lizard king is amazing but Andy's shtick sucks, the diaper business is annoying, the jokes don't work the same way and it's hard to care on either end of the story: the set up was dumb and overlong and the payoff was absolutely squandered.

"Why they add coconut, I miss original" is the best joke in the show in my opinion. It's very seinfeld like because the set up is actually way earlier with Daryll when we are told that the drink is called coconut penis,meaning original is just penis. Robert say he misses original is pretty much him saying he misses just the penis. It's the most layered joke ever. I love the office but I don't think is funny as seinfeld but that joke is one of the funniest I've seen on TV

I know there’s a lot of hate but I didn’t think it was too bad. Just a niche that’s not for me but not completely terrible. Nothing wrong with trying to have fun after a few years of reviewing the office, especially when you get to this hard to watch portion.

I hate this episode. Jim's prank was literally a sex crime, the Flanderization is in full effect and Andy's shtick got old after a minute. Pain that's supposed to be painful is still pain. Didn't care, didn't like, the picture studio itself had some funny gags,the opening was decent, and the energy drink is a riot. Also, implied abuse jokes that also doesn't fit the characters or story: not funny and lame. The paternity reveal is a lazy gaff. I don't care whether 2 psychotic,abusive,rude unfaithful usuprers get together again. Pass, yet again.
