Excellent lesson, Bob. Very comprehensive! Taking the cheating shortcut shows a product-oriented focus rather than a process-oriented focus. When my students resort to cheating and copying their classmates work during a task-based activity, they cheat themselves from an opportunity to improve. Of course, it's rare that they cheat, but it's a mandatory English class that many would rather not take, so a few try to take the easy way out because they aren't yet comfortable speaking English.
