Repeat Rows:
3. Ch 3, skip 1st 2 st, work 3 dc into 3rd st, skip next 2 st, 3 dc into next st Repeat ** until you have 2 st left at end of row. Skip 1 st, 1 dc into last st.
4. Ch 2, work 1 sc into 1st st, fpdc around 1st dc in 1st set of 3 dc from previous row, sc into next dc, fpdc around 3rd dc in set. fpdc around 1st dc of 2nd set of 3 dc from previous row, sc into next dc, fpdc around 3rd dc Repeat ** for each set of 3 dc from previous round, then work 1 sc into top of the 3rd chain at end.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I've had several people ask now about how to incorporate this pattern into other projects.
The width of the scarf pictured is approximately 5.5" with 21 chains. This pattern works in increments of 6 following no less than a chain of 9, if that makes sense.
Determine how long you would like the blanket, keeping in mind that your fiber weight will also add or subtract from the size, and calculate based on the numbers started with the scarf.
If your throw is going to be, for example, 60" x 80", try a starting chain of 255.
For a 50" x 60", maybe 195 chains.
Again, no less than a starting chain of 9, increments of 6 chains thereafter... Ex: 9, 15, 21, 27, etc.
I hope this helps. I worked each of the above numbers myself and everything worked out great!
I would love to see what else you work up with the Stormy Waters pattern! Scroll down to see how you can hook up with us on various social medias to share your work!

Within hour, I was already a few rolls done. Thank you so much for sharing! It’s so easy, comfortable, and a relaxing pattern to stitch. I did 31 chains because I wanted mine to be a little wider. If you are still in search of land scapes order from Lion Brand directly. They have about 3 or 4 colors that are discounted because they will be discontinued the others will still be around for a while. I just stocked up on a box full.

Hi I just found this video and I love the pattern I’m making this for my sister-in-law. So easy to make. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Colleen for this wonderful KZread tutorial very detailed and as I worked by the pictures it was so helpful.
Beautiful scarf and your tutorial is great to follow! I can’t wait to start making these for my Daughter and Nieces. I have a lot of the Facets yarn that I make the crocodile scale fingerless gloves with and you’re so right it’s very tough to frog so when I learn a new pattern with it I practice with a regular acrylic worsted weight scrap yarn to critique the stitches until I’m comfortable enough to hop over to the Facets, Unforgettable…

Very smart! I love it! Thanks for your comment, I hope you enjoy working it up! 💕
Thank you for this pattern. It helped that the 3 double stiches in one hole is the only stich I've known for 40 years, I call it the shell stitch. I did take my own notes as I can't remember what all the abrievations stand for. When I first learned to crochet I was taught to go under rather then over so I've been reteaching myself how to stich. (my sister taught herself how to stich by using a unfinished blanket she found alongside the road. I THINK she taught herself and then me with a blanket that was being done by someone left handed and we are both right handed.)
This is a very pretty texture. TFS!
I might be 2 years late to this party buy wow, I love that I found this. I followed along and am about 5 inches now. It is beautiful. I couldn't find the same yarn you used but I did find and ordered the "Unforgettable". I can't wait to get it. Meanwhile I have a nice Berroco Ultra Alpaca that is 50% alpaca and 50 % Peruvian wool that is super soft actually, and it will be warm. I read some comments and know about the matching hat in your videos that I will definitely also make. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful skill. I've only started learning from videos for about a year now.
yes,still working on it.
Crocheting this pattern now, it's quite beautiful & ever so easy. No complicated moves or triple crochet etc ,just a repeat of two patterns. Watching Wimbledon easily while doing this. Thank you Madame, this is a cool pattern indeed. 😎

I came across your seamless join for granny squares when finishing up a granny afghan. I wasn't pleased with what I was finding until I saw your join method. The Afghan really went together beautifully, so much better than whip stitching or crochet the squares together. Going to try this scarf. Probably wider. Thanks
