Hi Lystra, I used about 2 and a quarter skeins - so 3 skeins. You may need less or more depending on how tight or loose you crochet. I enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing! Your voice is soothing and reassuring. For those who say the video was too fast for a beginner, I recommend first watching tutorials that ONLY teach you the types of stitches. Once you know the stitches inside and out, these beginner project tutorials are much easier to follow. That’s how I taught myself.

Finished mine in 3 nights. So easy to follow along. It’s a little stiff but I’m hoping a trip through the washer will soften it some (used a different bulky yarn as I couldn’t find this brand ). Thank you for this. On to your next video!

Just wanted to say thanks for this video❤ I wish I'd found it when I first started learning - showing how not to end up with a super tight chain, and showing how to actually see the stitches! 😂 Lol it seems obvious but I struggled so much in the beginning! I'm still pretty much a beginner and I just learned so much that i wasn't expecting to learn from this. Thank you!

Loved this pattern and the speed at which you work and explain everything ❤ I've only been crocheting for a couple of months...first time I haven't had to slow a video down, thank you! So pleased to find the written pattern download too, having learned via KZread I'm having trouble understanding written patterns. Being able to split screen your pattern and follow the video has been invaluable. I'm a huge fan now ❤❤

I'm subscribing and can't wait to see more of your videos, you are such a great and patient teacher! I'm going to look for some of your baby blanket videos if you have any. Thank you so much for this comment! I am over joyed that you find my videos and patterns easy and helpful. It's funny that you mentioned wanting to do a baby blanket. I'm working on my first baby blanket pattern right now! In the meantime, you can absolutely use this scarf pattern to do a blanket using a more suitable yarn. Just make it bigger! I will be releasing a complete video for a blanket using this stitch as well. I'm currently filming matching ear warmers to go with this scarf, so I hope you'll come back and check those out! I happened on this video because I was looking for a different stich to make a couple scarves for my grankids.(22 & 10). This is perfect. It's unusual but not too difficult. I've been crocheting for many years. But I'm only good with scarves and blankets. I subscribed, so maybe I can try different projects. Thanks!

I'm so glad you found this video! It's such a fun stitch. I have a pumpkin that uses the same stitch- although I know it's not pumpkin season anymore. And I'll be releasing a matching ear warmer for this scarf using the same stitch! Also, a blanket idea is brewing. So I'm sure you'll enjoy that as well.😁💕

Thanks for explaining properly as I always seem to get confused on first stitch and end stitch, so annoying as no-one seems to zoom in enough. Finally a pattern I can follow.
