We drive further west to camp in Cape Le Grand National Park. We FREE CAMP (yep you heard that right!) right on the beach at Membinup Beach (breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!), explore the 4wd beach with the trusty Ford Ranger and cook up an epic beach feast as the sun goes down.
For us this really is what living on the road, and finding remote beaches is all about. I'm pretty sure this might just be our favourite beach camp in Australia. Welcome to our happy place.
This stretch of south west WA is not only breathtakingly beautiful but also a hell of a lot of fun. Come join us for this three part series exploring the South Coast of Western Australia along our van life big lap of Australia.

Hey guys 😘Loved this vid reviving my own memories of beach camping @ Membinup, WA! I loved that beach lounger Dunc - loved the creative use of nature at its best! I'm currently using your Episodes 27-29 to explore the NT and still following your excellent trail tips. I bet! Feels like a lifetime ago now doesn't it. I imagine you look back on that time with fond memories of what a novice traveller you (and we) were, how far we have come! Literally and figuratively 😂 So glad you're enjoying the remote north, hopefully it isn't crazily busy although I think we would be shocked at how much busier it is now in comparison to when we travelled through. Looking forward to seeing you at the end of this year. X

love the vid guys kez and i built a sand table on Bribie Island once over Xmas sat there all day and into the night those were the days one time, we Doug a big hole put a tarp in it and spent most of the day filling it with water one drum at a time ...but wow what a view cheers from Queensland south

Thank you ☺️ We use WikiCamps to find good free camps (they have a filter for FREE) then read the reviews and check out the pics, as well as current wind direction if the winds looking particularly strong. Exploring the beaches we zoom in on Google Maps with satellite turned on to see what tracks look like. Not flashy but it works, oh and download offline maps for the area first incase you don’t have signal 😘💪
