Thanks for making a video on my script :) I just updated it to translate from any language to English. There do seem to be a few bugs I can see in this video that I wasn't aware of 😂 Btw, if you change the template Text+ in the media pool after generating the subtitles (like you did in the video) then you can just click "Revert all changes" and it will update the subtitles with the latest changes (I know this button is a little confusing).

Generating .SRT files for free locally on your computer is so nice, that has been the biggest problem for most people, Thank You Tom!

Good luck getting the plugin to work. I wish I could get it to work. No help in the Discord either . . . That said, whisper does give me a transcript and I get to insert all the subtitles manually. Really slow, but whisper does save quite a bit of work. For that part, I do thank you!

Try using the timecode of the timeline starting by zero, so when it goes and doubles the time, the double of zero is zero!

I’m having issues with the installation and not sure if other people are also experiencing issues installing this on a MacBook M3 pro. Been asking all over and so far no luck 😢

it's free! and it creates subtitles as Titles on a video track instead of on the dedicated closed captions timeline. so it's much more flexible with styles/animation

does this work with Davinci resolve free version because I don't have studio paid version?

Hey! does this only work if your using a "Text+" for your subtitles and Not a normal "Text" for your subtitles?? I'm having trouble trying to get this to work, For some reason when I use a Normal Text ( Which is what I mainly use ) it transcribes it fine on the Transcribing Tab but on the actual timeline it doesn't add the subtitles at all and just repeats one word over and over. Let me know Thanks!

not working on my end, got python installed properly on macos and can check all the version and working. yet DVR not detecting python3 on my mac, and not detecting the scripts... funny it is working on his end and the creator end.

Is it using the DR's sub system or does it have its own? Like could there be language that it supports that DR doesn't?

it's not using Resolve's audto-caption tools at all so I wouldn't be surprised it it could do more!

From the videos from both you and Patrick, this seems really good. However, I've run the install script for Windows this morning and even though the Python script is in the correct folder, it's not appearing under Scripts in DaVinci. Can you or anyone else help with this?

As a DVR newby is it possible to save the text file as some sort of template for future projects in the free version? I'm creating subtitled videos of old TV shows for my hearing impaired mom. So it would be nice to use the same subtitle style and formatting for each episode automatically rather than have to manually customize the subtitle formatting every time I want to generate subtitles.

Im' unlucky (what a news :-D ) the script installed itself correctly. But when I fire it into DaVinci it doesn't start at all ... EDIT: the issue was solved. The author gave a great support. Many of use we had the same issue.

@@d.i.d because YT doesn't let me post links, just to help you: the issue is called "It doesn't start". I had to manually install Python package because the autoinstaller didn't properly made it. The author is remaking the autoinstaller. However I hope the version 19 will have this feature already built in.It's asked form long ago.

you don't need to use it with Subtitle Pro! I used that because I like it as an engine to design lots of different looks but you can toss a plain Text+ in the timeline, customize however you want with animation or style, and drag that back into the Media Pool to use with this script.

It doesnt work, even wrote the creator and he doesnt answer, downloaded everything, then used powershell, then when open davinci that put text and then put it on the media aerea, when go to workspace and then script, it says not script, How to fix it? Maybe this is a scam, it doesnt work.
