You can do this by setting up Companion to send commands to JustMacros. I demonstrate how to do that in the latter portion of this video: Animating SuperSource Transitions with ATEM Mini Extreme - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oYlpuJiyZZCccqw.html The new functionality in this version can be utilized with instructions found in the Instructions.pdf file in the download.

I am curious if a super source can be added for monitor that I run in portrait mode. I am running 3 monitors as inputs plus 1 camera input. Would like to be able to have the portrait monitor rotated through 90 degrees.

Hi Doug, thanks for all the information and tips U provide. An amazingly nice resource for information and improving ones own skills. Since this video is about X-Key keyboards, one question. Have U ever tried to control a Hyperdeck Mini, Studio, Studio 4K with a X-Key-12 Keyboard Jog & Shuttle? Including the jog dial on the keyboard. Do U think this might be possible? I think it could work out as a good instant replay system, if that were possible.

I haven't done it personally, but it should be theoretically possible with some programming in JustMacros. The big issue with HyperDecks for instant replay is that they can't play and record at the same time, so any time you're doing playback you'd be missing anything that might be happening at the same time. Additionally, the transition between Record and Play modes isn't instantaneous -- it can take a couple seconds, adding to the problem of potentially missing something that is happening.

@@djp_video Thanks for your fast answer. I tried this with an older Hyperdeck Mini, I guess from 2018, something around then and can confirm a delay of approx. 1.5 sec. With an older Hyperdeck Studio and Studio 4K, switching from record to playback seems instantanious. Very right, no recording when instant replay takes place. But not that important, since I use it for livestream Softball games. So ist would have to be tested. Got it. Have a great day and all the best to you.

JustMacro's is the software that is needed to program the x keys, once the X Keys are programed, does it matter if the x keys is plugged in a Mac to do the super source during production? Sorry do not know much about this... I have a BM HD Television Studio controlled with a Mac.

JustMacros is doing all of the work. It communicates with and controls the ATEM and X-Keys. It is the one essential piece to this working. If I was to create this functionality without JM I’d have to build my own software to do what it does, which would take a long time. To the best of my knowledge there’s nothing even remotely similar on the Mac.

I have separate software for controlling Sony PTZs using a gaming controller (like those for the Xbox).

JustMacros is Windows only, so getting it to work on a Mac is going to be difficult, if not impossible, without running a Windows VM. And if you were to get the software to run, getting it to see an X-Keys controller might not be possible. It's very low on resource utilization, so any cheap old PC would be able to run it just fine.

I'm sure I've missed it somewhere and I hope I phrase the question right. If you have a 3 box in program can you go to full screen of any of the boxes then back to 3 box then back to full screen. Can you also do that with a 2 box and a 4 box

You can transition from any layout (1, 2, 3, or 4-box) to any other layout at any time. The software will look at whatever layout you have live and figure out how to transition to whatever new layout you want and animate between them. The first four pre-defined layouts in the software are full-screen. So to transition from a 2-up layout to full-screen you simply select one of the first four full-screen layouts. To then transition to a 3-up layout, you just select the new layout and it will automatically transition.

Hi, I purchased the Animated Macros pack and when I tried to bring it in to ATEM software, it said that I’m using wrong format. How can I solve that issue and did anyone encounter such message from ATEM Software? (I am using it on MacBook Pro 2018, intel chip)

Just Macros leads me to a seemingly malware site. Is this process no longer available due to JM shutting down?

The author disappeared off of the internet a while ago. So getting the JustMacros software is difficult. On top of that, because it wasn't updated for years, it's no longer compatible with modern 9.x versions of ATEM Software. There isn't really a suitable replacement. MixEffect on the iPad can do some of this SuperSource animation, as can Central Control, but neither one is a 100% replacement.

Is anyone else having trouble with the links on the download links page? I cannot get the download links to work. Please help, thank I’m adance!

hello Is this also applicable to ATEM 9.0 version? I use Xkey Justmacro63 (Atem 8.0? I used this version well.) ATEM 9.0? Starting from this version, connection is not possible. Currently using companion 3.2.2. PTZ, ATEM, AUDIO, etc. Setup is easy too. However, t-bar does not apply. xkey 124-tbar thank you (Google translation)

It does not work with ATEM Software 9.x. My solution relies on JustMacros for communication with the ATEM. But the ATEM 9.0 software update broke compatibility with JustMacros. And the author of JM has disappeared from the Internet and not updated his software to work.
