He was very sick when he recorded this that he could barely stand up. The others weren't sure if he even would be able to do it. Freddie said "I'll fucking do it, darling.", downed some vodka and, as you can hear, killed it 🥰 Brian May, the guitarist, wrote the song about what Freddie was going through. It's my absolute favorite Queen song and imo the best he ever did vocally. Amazing how he could sound like that when he was so sick. ❤❤❤

I believe the songs about him know he's going to die than that he had regrets but like you said whether I'm here or not to show must go on and live when he was very sick a wonderful performance to show what's going on and it's just coming to church with weather like it or not whether he's going to be here to show bus go on life must go on and it's so much to the other members of his beloved family Queen. It's your beautiful sad song but it's truthful one and all those pictures you feel him or when he was younger and then older and then as his disease progress ed listen to his music he left us a gift a guy to feel happy sad joyous and understand that we are all not perfect. The fact that you feel when you see him perform and you listen that's our gift.

"I have to find the will to carry on" and Freddie has found it, he sang, sang and sang until he could. It is almost unbelievable what Freddie was capable of with his voice when he was already very ill. He was a musician and performer from top to toe.

Freddie was literally dying when he recorded this track in 1990... it was the final track of the 'Innuendo' album in '91 which was the last Queen record before Freddie's death. He was too ill from AIDS to film music videos at the time... so this video was released for the single. The sentiment of the song was that life has to go on even after Freddie was gone😪 The members of Queen couldn't carry on without Freddie... but they honored him w/a Freddie Mercury tribute concert in early 1992... then they completed songs that Freddie had recorded in the studio for Queen's final album 'Made in Heaven' in 1995. Bassist John Deacon quit music after that... It wasnt until 2004 when guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor opted to tour w/ Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers as Queen+Paul Rodgers until 2009. Then, they teamed up w/ singer Adam Lambert, a huge Queen fan, to tour globally as Queen+Adam Lambert til today.

Freddie was dying and was so ill that he couldn't stand for long periods of time but he sang this song in one take. This showed the strength and determination of this legend to do this song and finish his last Album before he died. He still is an inspiration, a legend and is still loved throughout the world. It’s a very emotional connection to the Queenies!! The vocals are heartfelt and that’s why I don’t listen to any artists’ cover of this song! There can be only one Freddie Mercury!!! 👑🏆🥇

You really need to listen to the rest of his songs, esp the unknowns. I love Freddie, and did not start to understand what he was saying until he got ill. Then I bought a three pack of cd's of Queens Greatest/Best of, and some of his songs seemed to predict his demise, and we did not even know it. "Death on two legs", etc.... "Who wants to live forever", "Too much love will kill you".....

It’s sad that Freddie was dying when this was recorded & his final video was “These Are The Days Of Our Lives”, which y’all should react to as well. Freddie looked bad when this was released so Queen opted to use footage of past videos and concerts. Freddie Mercury was the best pure singer and performer of all time. Brian did the main composition, using Roger and Johns chord sequence and also inspiration from pachelbels canon which may have been suggested by Freddie as that was more his style of music but it doesn't say, their producer Richards suggested the key change in the second verse in a few interviews brian clearly implies he was writting it with freddie but did most of the work to finish it up and demo it we worked out the theme..thrashed out the lyrics,we knew what we were writting but didn't talk about it...theme was about a broken hearted clown but carries on with the show.. which is the theme of vesti la guibba which Freddie used as inspiration musically for the begining of his song it's a hard life and that was very much Freddies attitude many times through his career but especially when he was ill Brian said they solidified the first verse but had enough material to complete the two last verses and brian added butterfly wings after their session

Freddie was no longer able to write songs and he begged Brian to write him songs to sing...so Brian wrote a song about what Freddie must have been feeling near the end of his life. He sang until a few months before the end of his life. He pretty well did this song in ONE take. He was amazing. Do not watch THES ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES (there is a 10 minute doc on the song too) until the end of your Queen journey ...too sad but Freddie had decided to do the video because he wanted to say goodbye to his fans and tell them he loved. He looked terrible - tons of makeup to hide his cancerous sores which were all over his body and layers of clothing to hide how emaciated he was but he was a strong person and never complained. He even lot most of one foot and you can see his gait when he walks...go back to happier times...do: NOW I'M HERE and LOVE OF MY LIFE, both live at Wembley...both totally amazing for different reasons: one mad, mad energy and the other mad control over the audience

Innuendo album Freddie composed and wrote Innuendo with Roger he wrote slightly mad,Delilah and don't try so hard all Gods people had been written for what would have been freddies solo in 87,they re worked it for the album Roger wrote two tracks and Brian 2,but according to wiki both were supposed to be for his solo album which implies he was concentrating on his solo rather than a Queen album but I don't really know seems a bit odd Hitman was something Freddie had been working on then they all contributed and Bijou freddie and Brian had the idea for inside out guitar and worked on ideas but the info about the actual song is unclear

To be clear. .. I've heard too many opinions or interpretations about who did what, how and when, and not only about that particular song. This was not a message from Freddie to the other members of the band. It was exclusively written and composed by doctor Brian May for Freddie. And Brian was "under pressure" because he was not sure that Freddie was still strong enough to deliver such a powerful song. I let you check what the rest of the story is all about.✌

This was towards the end of his life & he’s still awesome (all of them were outstanding) please react to some early Queen like Cool Cat or My Melancholy Blues.

Try Barcelona and/or How can I go on. Or a tribute song "No-one but you (only the good die young)". Pliizz

To think 6months later he was gone. He was to ill to do a video. A dying freddie can sing his heart and soul out. Brian may wrote this for freddie as a good bye song to his fans. It was the last song on his last album. Yes queen are still going but although amazing as they are. Brian and Roger are the only 2 original members. The bass player never returned to queen after Freddie died. But to be honest their music is never boring they have so many styles and freddie brought that with songs such as Barcelona and living on my own. The variety in their music is unparalleled by any other bands. There's just no one out there that can touch queen which is why after all these years their music is still so popular. The last video freddie did by the way was these are the days of our lives. It was filmed in black and white to try and hide how ill looking he was. I always choke up at the end with his final line. He looks you in the eye and says i love you. And you know he means the fans gets me every time.
