I think its possible to fake his voice perfect. But i admit, we are not there yet. As far i can tell AI manages to make Freddys scratchy voice (and only that). But Freddy hat a big variety of voices from jazzy, to falsetto-opera-like , smooth voice etc.. The scratchy voice he mostly used in powerful loud singing. Also the AI lacks a bit of his vibrato which was often a bit chaotic even but wisely used. I dont think its impossible to mimic all of these nuances. But AI isnt there yet. Same goes for AI-painting. AI has a common sense whats pleasing for our eyes at first sight. But often the paintings lack a deeper meaning (which definetely also can be teached to AI). For paintings it usually needs a lot of tweaking, to get meaningful pictures. There are voices the AI actually can mimic very good (in my opinion it does best with Frank Sinatra (i assume because he sang all of his songs in a quiet similar way - he never tried opera-singing like Freddy - as far i know). We are literally in the first year to be able to swap voices with AI ... Its like the baby-version of AI we have now. I am sure in 5 years from now, it will ne indistinguishable from the real Freddy.

Why do this when we already have the perfect acoustic version of this song sung by a-ha and the far superior real vocals of Morten Harket? Morten’s voice has a unique and honeyed tone, full of emotion which draws you in to it, which this cold and artificial facsimile of Freddie’s can never match.

The tune is so quiet, it shows up issues with the vocals. It's like someone is pressing a key to hit each note. Not bad though, as he probably doesn't have the easiest voice to perfectly replicate naturally anyway

this is not incredible it's pretty but it's not incredible it sounds like a cover of the actual band acoustic version that they did a few years back as older musicians and a different take on the song this motherfucker had me crying when I listen to it literally it took an upbeat song and made it melancholy I was so nostalgic I had no idea that the lead singer from aha had that range I knew he could sing but I was like God damn the emotion in the song I'm not taking anything away from Freddie Mercury Freddie Mercury was great but for people to get all warm and tingly about AI music I mean some of it sounds okay but this is not a goddamn masterpiece it sounds like a bad rendition of a masterpiece that was done a few years ago The actual song take on me was great it was a beautiful song but when the band got together and did that acoustic version that was a fucking masterpiece and it's hard for me to listen to it it's that good like I don't want tears streaming down my face I don't want to relive my life every time I hear a song lol it is so hauntingly beautiful and this is not I'm not sorry to say

@@michaelharrington75 I have heard the original song I've heard both versions of the original song The beautiful and haunting acoustic version which is actually my favorite version now and the original and the lead singer of aha his range is amazing his voice isn't even damaged him being probably in his mid to late '60s I loved Freddie Mercury's voice especially when I was younger but this AI I call it a mashup it's kind of cute but it's not beautiful it's not even a masterpiece it's just a kind of a strange mashup it sounds okay but the original is so much better I understand why they do these things they can do it in the style of a particular artist but the thing that people don't seem to understand is that because of artist sings a particular way if they were here and they did a cover it might not really be in what AI considers their particular style anyway I just wanted to comment on your comment have a good one

I'm with you! It's not a masterpiece, it's a mesh up. Because the IA only change the chorus of the voice. But, anyway. I think that is amazing and it's only the start of a technology that will allow everyone to do something like that. It's a new age of time, and this is only the seed of a whole new world.

What you don't get it... AI is not for replacing, not yet. It's just to reimagine things on other way, it's the process not the result. But what can I say, John Lennon is singing again on Beatles. This is what AI is made for. It's a help, a memory. Your memory it's not the same of what happened, like AI, it's a piece mixed, that makes you feel close of the subject, but you are not.

the AI work is spectacular, the audio editing is terrible. It's not 80s, there's no reverb or stereo depth. it's very mediocre.

Freddie is/was in my opinion the greatest singer, but using AI with his voice, he's raping many songs. The originals were ok, what would everybody say if they put other voices under Queen-songs?

This is just plain wrong. Using AI to recreate a passed singer's voice is creepy at best. It does a disservice to the singer and to the source material.
