Well if you look closely at Olson and Freddie contracts, they are basically the same. If he “truly” misses the Braves, he should demand a trade back to them. Freeman for Olson. Hell, dodgers would be getting a younger player with two years more on his contract. But Freddie won’t bc he’s on stacked lineup that will get him the postseason and most likely the World Series. So in nutshell he doesn’t give a shit about the Braves.

@@dicktracy5066 clearly. What is he batting .252 10 hrs and 39 RBI. And ppl were saying he would be batting way better than that bc he'd be batting at a stadium with less foul ground and a low hr wall. Freddie on the other hand is batting .304 8 hrs and 45 RBI. hmm....I wonder who's better!?!?

I'm a true blue SF Giants fan who happens to have moved to Atlanta in 2015. I gotta say though that I really appreciated what Freddie brought to the ballpark everyday with the Braves and was shocked to hear he was going to the Dodgers earlier this year. Gotta say I miss seeing him here in Atlanta. Watching this made me sad because it's just not right for him to be there in LA. I know business is business but sometimes the things that matter most are bigger than the business bottom line. Hope to see him back in Atlanta sooner than later. Class act dude!

The $25 million difference in offers will only affect Freeman’s progeny many generations down the road. Maybe only 10 generations of his family wouldn’t have to work instead of 11. It’s nice to see that he realizes now that greed isn’t always good. Unfortunately he’ll have to live with his decision to turn his back on the organization that made him one of the most privileged and wealthy individuals in history (literally in the top 0.00000001% of earners- not a made up number by the way) for a relatively small sum. He can cry and talk as much as he wants, but in the end money was the only thing that really mattered to him. I feel sorry for your children if those are the values you want to instill in them.

Miss Freddie so much and everything he meant to the Braves, the city, the fans and everything the game stands for. I know the players want financial security for themselves and their families but, if you could take the vulture agents out of the mix and the greedy owners, the game could/would be more pure and truly fan based and a joy that every dad could take their kids to and be an eight year old again. The game is beautiful in itself, it’s like most other things in life that we don’t see the ugly behind the scenes. God bless Freddie and his family and who knows what God has in store, he may still yet wear that Braves jersey again someday!

Pure class and the heart and soul of the Braves for so long... Some seriously well paid people made one hell of a mistake to let him go and should be held accountable. Those who swear by stats, those who see players as interchangeable puzzle parts don't or can't understand what the game is actually all about - and what losing Freddie will ultimately cost the Braves for a long time to come.....but Freddie and the fans know. Once in a generation, man.

Regret. That's what I feel from FF in this interview. Total and complete regret. He and his agent messed up and he knows it. He still wants to be a Brave and he knows he should still be one.

Dodgers fan here… thankful to have this guy on our team… but the amount of love he received as a Brave is way more than he’ll have as a Dodger though we still show him love. There are just some players that just have as a lifetime player for a certain team written all over them: Posey, Mauer, Kersh, ‘Tuve, Jeter, Papi. Cutch also feels like a player who should’ve stayed.

He realize he left a city who fan base revered him for reasons that was shaky outside of talent. In LA he’s just one of the guys and the 5 or 6 best player on the team. Atlanta fan base is really people who live outside the city.
