@TheRapper10000 Maybe or maybe not. I know a guy who is a college math professor. I used to do stand up comedy and improv comedy with him. MF-er introduced me to South Park, but somehow the SJW narrative has soaked into his brain. I will post rants on my page (in my comedy voice) about whatever is pissing me off. Now he's super woke and he will post how inappropriate what I am saying is and he will defend the crazy sjw bs, all the time. This guy is basically brainwashing all of the young students he works with, and he thinks he is doing good in the world, so is it most women? Maybe or maybe you are hanging around really bitchy women.

Where i was from Richmond, Va you had only 3 channels and a few on the UHF channels. It was channel 6 was WTVR. was CBS.There location in Richmond, Va on Broad Street. channel 8 was WXEX ABC the call sign was changed in the 80's and there new building was moved from Petersburg to Chesterfield off of Midlothian turnpike. Channel 12 was WTBS network station NBC on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond,Va. In the early 80's is when the Fox network started up and you could only see it on the UHF Channels Fox was on 35 and 65 of course you could also see on the UHF channels shows like Sesame street the muppets and other things on the Public Broadcasting channel. Like that guy with the curly hair painting with putty knives and other instruments as well as numerous paint brushes. I tell you he could paint a landscape like know other. His trees looked real. When FOX Channel first came there were no commercials no news and they had all types of shows but mostly movies and they were not blurred or bleeped out at all. I was barely a teenager and i lived pretty close to the main networks they had like 8 to 10 satellites out in front the big ones 8 or more feet in diameter. Later when i was about 19 I worked in a clothing store called kuppenheimer's men's clothing and we had all the anchor men come in and they bought their clothing from me. They had like a $8,000 thousand to $12,000 expense per anchor person. I used to give them free ties and shirts to help the deal go through boy i love those paychecks. Our company ended up getting a corporate account with the different networks. Kuppenheimer was owned by heart Schaefer and marks their suits sold for over $2,000 but as kuppenheimer's we basically sold the same suits. Our most expensive suit was the premiere worsted wool suit fully lined it sold for $225. Fun times but sorry about this buddy i have insomnia and it's like 4:00 a.m. and i realized that I'm rambling on. I guess you get caught up in the Memories and now that I'm a empty nester with my boys that i had the privilege of raising are gone now and in the MILITARY. It's something that all generations have done. Dame there i go again sorry about that. Well i hope some of this may have given you some history or information that is probably useless. Well have a great day and wish you all well. Goodnight!! #( Memories)!!

@@icebreaker19631 I enjoyed reading your stories. I like to tell rambling stories too. And rambling rants on various things...that the next day I read it again and go "WUT??" Lol. We have to stick together...the ramblers of the world. The white painter with the big Afro looking hair was Bob Ross, btw. "There are no mistakes in your world...just happy little accidents. For instance...maybe there's a happy little tree that lives right here..." As a kid, I could only rarely watch the shows completely through, and then only if there was nothing else on the "other three channels (the 3 networks)", or the other PBS that my grandparents TV occasionally got. But I would often check back frequently to see how his happy little accidents were progressing...and wishing that I had the patience and maturity and sophistication to watch the episodes all the way through. Because I thought that was an important part of me growing up...being able to watch cultural and artistic things, without being bored to almost tears. Sometimes I could manage it. Only sometimes though. You may be interested to know, if you don't already, that the Bob Ross show "The Joy of Painting" is on KZread. Looks like all the episodes are here. For free. I hope that helps you.

"Sanford and Son" was one of my favorites in the 70's and yes, Fred Sanford (Redd Foxx) did say those things on television. It was on the same time as "All in the Family" and this time in US history was when civil rights were being tested and human prejudices were being identified and laughed at because people were coming out from behind their masks. Redd Foxx was a good friend of Aunt Esther in real life and wanted her to play Aunt Esther. The Golden Girls came later and was definitely calmer toward racial insults. Sanford and Son addressed all kinds of subjects but acted like no one was watching and this is how Fred talked behind closed doors. The same with "All in the Family". They were both funny but addressed openly what people might have said behind closed doors.

Everyone knew there were differences in these groups, that created the stereotypes, so the stereotypes were used as jokes. Today too many people want to ignore the differences... different isn't worse, but different. The best comedians still highlight these differences.

Sanford and Son was one of my favorite shows back in the day. I almost never missed an episode! In those days comedians could get away with a lot more than they could ever do today. Check out the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts on Youtibe if you have the time. Red Foxx and many other great Black comedians appeared on those shows and the racial humor was everywhere!

I am of the generation who loved this type of humor. People didn't take themselves so serious at that time to be offended so easily. What made it so funny is that these programs used realistic humor to show the absurdity of human biases and behaviors. Sitcoms then were downright funny and there were a lot of spinoffs where some of the characters were given their own shows, too.

Grew up on this show, the Jeffersons, All in the Family. All three were controversial for their time (especially All in the Family - the producers thought Norman Lear wanted to commit suicide when he suggested this show. They gambled on it and WON big time!). You know, gymnastics has changed so drastically since the 1970s - it's all about daredevil dangerous tumbles and less about ballet-style moves - but at least there are KZread videos where I can go and watch Nadia Comaneci and Olga Korbut. I miss that kind of gymnastics. I feel the same way about comedy - it's dead today. When I want to laugh, I come to KZread. Oh memories of yesteryear. I wonder if we will ever recover from this!

Red Foxx was very funny and Fred Sanford was made for him! He and Esther’s battles are legendary! The N-word was used in a lot of seventies sitcoms like this one and Good Times, The Jefferson’s, and All in the Family. It wasn’t that unusual back then, most sitcoms were more raw!❤️❤️

Yes. He was in Karate Kid. But everything you saw right there WAS shown on tv. Still is shown in syndication. Back when people wasn’t so easily offended and got their feelings hurt. I grew up watching that show. I’m a white man and found it to be great comedy for the day. Still is as long as people don’t get their feelings hurt and make something out of nothing. I still watch it today. Thanks for the review and keep up the good work. Thumbs up from Tennessee.

I was a kid/younger teenager back in the 70's and am white male. People (black and white) weren't as sensitive back then as they are not. People could compartmentalize what was real and what was comedy/satire. People knew the difference between what was racist and what was racial. Fred Sanford, Archie Bunker, and George Jefferson played racists on these shows. But the shows were written in a way that showed the stupidity of racism, yet made the shows funny and characters lovable. You're right. These show simply couldn't air today because of this sort of thing due to (IMO) over sensitivity. Life in the 70's was more live-and let-live and we actually got along better. Anyway, Sanford & Son, All in the Family, and The Jeffersons were, and still are, some of my favorite shows of all time........I just found you a short time ago after watching a Stevie Ray Vaughan reaction video you made. You did and great job and have enjoyed all of the videos I've seen of yours since then. I enjoy it from your Christian perspective as well. I just subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos. God bless!

There was no cable at that time. 3 networks only. Shows that were current were aired in “prime-time”. Saturday morning cartoons and game shows and soaps on weekday mornings, were the only other times for current programming. The rest of the time slots were filled with either older shows from the 50’s and 60’s, or popular current shows that were also in syndication. Sanford and Son was one of those current shows that ran in syndication. This is the stuff that kids in the 70’s grew up on. We loved it. We didn’t have cable until ‘82.
