Personally I'm a huge fan of the traditional All American tip and stainless steel inserts. I have a Deadly winds for my 5 inch freak kit and just find the slightly heavier barrel with Stainless steel XL inserts to be more easy to point and it also balances out my shockers better with the stainless. I have thought about getting a deadlywinds x8 or a carbon though to try with my autocockers.

The big difference in strength and carbon fiber is the fact that it won't take the friction as well. It will wear out over time. And eventually it will do laminate. That having been said you also have to understand it would take somewhere in the ballpark of daily playing for a decade to do something like that, thousands of balls everyday for 10 straight years before you're going to start seeing issues.

I actually like both my cp kit w/dynasty tip and my dye cf-s kit I've never been a fan of inserts

What's the point? If they all use the XL inserts, then im using the one that costs less..period.

I like to feel what I’m carrying, so a super lite barrel isn’t really appealing. The Silencio is a good barrel though
