1978....my Mom and Dad took me to Grease at the outdoor movie theatre on a very hot summer's night. I was sitting in the middle back seat. This song came on/intro to movie. Pretty much thought this is the coolest damn song and intro to a movie EVER!!! I was around 7 years old, but I remember it like it was yesterday! I still get goosebumps when I hear this song. Life was so much simpiliar back then!!!!

It's amazing to think that Grease has one of the greatest soundtracks ever, yet the Song that was the intro to the movie is the best one. The Bee Gees nailed it when they wrote it and Frankie nailed it when he recorded it. He nailed it again right here.

I read that Mr. Valli had a condition for a while which caused hearing loss. It was complete deafness, apparently. The article said that he then sang from MEMORY!!! If it’s true, then that is simply astounding. And now I’ve found him singing on KZread and effortlessly nailing notes that most prepubescent boys can’t reach, much less a man in his late 80’s.

Forget how amazing he still sounds live. Forget the fact he's past 80 in this clip. Go back and watch his facial expressions, shoulders and arm movements. Think about how many 1000s of time he has sang this and his other hits, night after night, year after year, for over 50 years. He STILL shows major expressions to go with each part of the song. 99.999% of performers just get up there and sing and you wonder if they are just doing it to get a paycheck. Frankie actually puts on a show and gives the audience what they want even though that man has GOT to be tired of all this sometimes. That's the mark of a TRUE entertainer from the old school. Not to mention the fact that's he is so good looking !!!

He is a legend but this has been a known fact for years. Watch ANY of his shows and it's the same pre recorded singing. Impossible to sound the same each show and sing live...and be in your mid 80s. I saw him in concert 2 years ago. He stood there and sang for 2 hours- when he was done, he hobbled off the stage, but his voice is still great!

@@unconversantcallowincandes1540 What's condescending about it? He received several standing ovations. It was a wonderful concert. He's now 87 years old. Do you think you could do that at age 87, stand on a stage and sing for 2 hours?

@@davidwesson9277 seeing as we are absolutely nothing to each other, don't assume it's ok to use my name like we're friends. First and last on the basis of comparison "at 87 could I stand on stage for 2 hours and sing" wasn't the condescending part of this remark, the fact the in the original statement it says he stood there, then hobbled off and sang for 2 hours. At 87 the fact that he was on stage and out singing is a triumph and a victory, that he has maintained his composure, tone, delivery, and approach is phenomenal and sublime, and after all these years a little appreciation vs some discontent remark by someone looking for validation is where the condescension plays. To answer your question could I? Yes. And if I can't I'll find a way. To whomever is on the other side of your screen, note cute. Not impressed. But typical from a trolling enabler/narcissist. And in any circumstances that you are the basis of comparison, get used to failing in my book

@@unconversantcallowincandes1540 We aren't friends. You are absolutely ridiculous. Just because you think it's condescending doesn't mean it is. Your post made me laugh. What a silly person you are. Moving on.
