Frank Wilczek - Asking Ultimate Questions

Push boundaries. Discern the deep essence of existence. Search the foundations of reality. Imagine all that may exist in physical realms beyond current understanding. Seek to know now all that can be known. Overly ambitious? Sophomoric? We don't care. We do it anyway. Enjoy asking ultimate questions.

That is completely nonsensical statement philosophical or otherwise. We know that particles exist in superpositions (the double slit experiment) and have asked the question but don’t know the answer. There are answers to questions where the question hasn’t been asked yet. Still, both the answer and the question exist. Maybe they both await a higher intelligence.

@@kos-mos1127 Science of nature is not directly theology -- it does treat questions that concern the physical universe -- but it is dependent on theology: " it is manifest that science of nature(phusiologia) is a kind of theology, because what is constituted by nature also has a divine existence in a way, to the extent that it is produced by the gods". Theology is all about nature and understanding. You think theology makes up nature, the stars, the Sun, moon, being, experience, understanding, relation, interaction, meaning, manifestation, life, consciousness, pschology, wisdom. You see science today is mathematics and mathematicsm is not Science. Science has to acknowledge theology and true science is theology.

Frank is brilliant and his smile infectious. In work recognized in 2021 with a Breakthrough Prize, they concluded that the fifth force must be much weaker than some theories predicted, or that it simply does not exist. The NIST experiment follows a similar idea but uses a novel experimental technique.12-Oct-2021 In physics, there are four observed fundamental interactions that form the basis of all known interactions in nature: gravitational, electromagnetic, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear forces. Efforts were made to combine them into GUT. But gravity seems to defy GUT. Perhaps the missing link is the fifth force!!

Victory to our own self. There are 2 apparently distinct aspects of our experience. There is our own self and there is everything else. Non dualism perceives it as if they are one thing or at least not 2 things. All of us are the same. The outside world with its Gods and minds of others are seen as being totally powerless. They are not real. They are imagined. Nothing may be real. Our own self may be unreal also. When everything is perceived as unreal our own self has achieved victory. Everything is perceived as being powerless. All experiences are powerless and not real. What about the pain and pleasure of our experience? Love the all powerful all. Ask it for help with every problem. The all powerful all is not over us, rather it is us. We are all the same. Love everyone. Have no enemies. Get rid of all hate toward others and self. Do not worry about changing the others. There is only one self. It will take care of itself. Our wrong beliefs that are false are being replaced by correct beliefs that are true. There is no us and them. There is only the all powerful all.

You are people, so ask yourself, but don't be too hard on yourself, you don't have any choice. You would have more compassion for other creatures if you understood that neither you nor they have any choice whatsoever. Old Chan the Buddhist saying: "The unenlightened man has no choice for he is a slave. The man on the way to enlightenment has a choice. The enlightened man has no choice; he does what is necessary." You don't choose your likes and dislikes and are an abject slave to them - you simply don't have any choice about that so don't be so hard on yourself' What the devil does that silly word "bad" mean?- That you don't like something? If you creatures gave up all that good/bad right/wrong religious mumbo-jumbo you wouldn't make yourselves quite so miserable. So just give up all that religious nonsense and have some compassion for one another and recognise that you have no choice. Of course if you did that you wouldn't be able to worship your God self calming and thus would not be able to justify which to you is more important than life itself. All that religious mumbo-jumbo is completely unnecessary and only makes you miserable.

We want a certain type of answer that flatters us and if we don't get that specific answer then we reject it and say "we can't and will never figure it out". All the parts necessary for this understanding are already present here with us. We simply need to include what we have been excluding, and so the question now is "what have we been excluding?". 7 Metaphysical Questions 1) How do we remove the current cornerstone called ignorance (greed) from life and replace it with the cornerstone of truth (love)? 2) How do we remove the heavy lead called ignorance (greed) from the springboard of truth (love)...so that the springboard rebounds to happiness and launches US to heaven (joy, beauty and harmony)? 3) How do we release the string of lies being pulled by ignorance (greed)...so that the bow of truth returns to happiness and propels US to heaven (joy, beauty and harmony)? 4) How do we fill a giant black hole in space called ignorance (greed) with light (love)...so that its darkness (misery, murder, mass shootings, suicides, war, etc.) goes away and its heavy gravitational pull stops sucking the joy out of life and destroying the planet? 5) How do we knock down the wall of lies saying that "life is business" (greed)...so that the truth that "life is art" (creating joy) floods the earth and washes away its ignorance (hate)? 6) How do we make the hostile alien vampires (greed) who are blind...see the ignorance of transforming heaven (peace) into hell (war)? 7) How do we make the hostile alien vampires (greed) who are blind...see the ignorance of destroying the planet? Bonus Question. Why are the evangelical counting corpses using the bible as a springboard to perform somersaults to do the exact opposite of "love their neighbors" and "treat others like they want to be treated"? Answer. This is sick. Because these simple concepts are too far out there to grasp for vampires (greed). Vampires (greed) who suck the joy out of life have joined the zombies who eat the futures of their children. Zombie Apocalypse is here and happening now.

As late as 1890 to 1910, there were many physicists who did not believe in the ATOM. It was as high as maybe 50% of physicists, because we did not have direct evidence of the atom. From the Ancient Greek times, till recently, like late 1990s, did humans first make a kind of picture of the ATOM. From the time of DALTON till 1990s, scientists, the ones who believed in the ATOM, did it on FAITH basically.
