    The bigger question is why is this song so fitting for Sinatra's genre and tone of music? He's perfect to have sung this. I think his style is 100x better than the original.

    it fits Sinatra but to say his style is 100x better than the original is just too much. you can say 'different' but definitely not better. remember the original was intended for a Disney Pixar film. Sinatra's style doesn't really fit that genre.

    It’s because the original version was already written in common chord progressions used in many of Franks other songs/ songs of the time. It was also written in a swing style which Sinatra is known for.

    The base music track is based off of Michael Buble's version of the song. Plus Randy Newman wrote it as a jazz tune anyway.

    This hits even harder when you realize that Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head) was a really close friend of Sinatra for decades and toured with him in the 90's. Don was a paulbearer at his funeral.

    I listen to all these AI covers people are doing. Sinatra is the only one that I think sounds exactly like him. Idk how we have managed this, I know its not his real voice and that's why I always feel a bit of guilt when listening to these and actually enjoying them. But he had such a unique voice, im so glad AI can somewhat replicate it as if Sinatra was still here, its quite warming.

    I've tried SO many times to make a version of that but i've never managed to make one that's good enough to upload. It's hard finding a good enough audio to use as the base of it all, and the layered vocals complicates everything unfortunately. Unless I record all of the vocals myself beforehand, I sadly don't think that's one i'm going to be able to do. Was really hoping to do a full Pixar album for Sinatra.

    @francescosaveriorotondi59759 ай бұрын

    I don't know how the AI actually works but this is basically Micheal Buble's version if you listen to the musical arrangement. And also the singing, although the AI trasforms the voice, still presents all the characteristics of Buble's voice and mannerisms, with the little tone shifts and licks. Sinatra had very few of those, every time he held a note he did so with a very still, pure sound. I don't know, it's like they basically took Buble's record and transformed the voice, so it still sounds a little weird to me. Nevertheless the overall stile of the two singers is similar, so it fits quite well.

    Yeah, the whole AI music stuff is still relatively new (only a couple months old at this point) so there's not much you can do about the mannerisms of the original singer unless you find a version that sounds eerily similar to who you're trying to replicate or you do a mean impression of them and have the recording setup to do the vocals yourself. I did use the Bublé vocals as the the starting vocals, so unfortunately it did end up as a fusion of the two. Tried my best to make it lean a little more towards the Sinatra side, but from what i'm seeing in the comments, it seems its more like a 50/50 split lmao. I listened to it enough times in the process of making it that I more than likely lost touch with how much it did and didn't sound like him and was just happy with how it sounded compared to the initial rough draft.

    I've actually got a rough draft of that already made! Just haven't had the chance to re-record some of the vocals where it got a little weird and artifacty in the original recording. The problem with the Bobby Darin version though is the original vocals are vintage and not super clear, so those tend to run into issues with ai conversions unless you're using a somewhat similar sounding model. I found one that's very similar however and high quality after some digging so I miiiiight be able to get that out some time next week or if you've got a discord I could send you what I have so far. It already sounds better than most of what I could find.

    At first blush, yes it sounds like Sinatra's voice. But it's not his phrasing (It's definitely Buble's phrasing). I wonder if these covers would sound more convincing if a great Sinatra impersonator was used as the source for the AI to convert instead of taking Buble's voice and running it through the algorithm. It's just that I could tell right away that the phrasing and breaths, "micro expressions" were not what Frank would have done. The tone however is spot on. Cheers.

    Yeah, the the closer the source choice is to the voice you're trying to achieve, the better! If I knew how to do a Sinatra impression, I would've went that route, but no matter how many times I tried, it just sounded off. Doing an impression was the only way I achieved the Johnny Cash video I posted, but my Cash impression is still pretty mediocre tbh. I wish it were advanced enough to replace the Bublé mannerisms with Sinatra's, but technology just is quite there yet! If it weren't for the copywrite strikes I've been dealing with, I would've tried to improve on these!

    Good idea using the Michael Bublè version. The Randy Newman version doesn’t sound good with a Frank Sinatra voice model

    I don't believe Sinatra would have done this song in the way it was done. Had I not known it was AI I would have wondered where this style eminated from. Subtle differences.
