My number one music of all-time, performed by Francis Albert Sinatra back in 1957 with the glorious arrangement by Nelson Riddle - TOP OF THE TOPS !!!!!

I don't believe they could be compared as they represent two very different interpretations of types of jazz vocalization. I believe Frank wins for the sexiest male jazz swing style & Diana is surely the best for sexiest female jazz samba style. It's not who does it better, it's a matter of the quality of both musicians & they are BOTH excellent in their styles that they interpret

Ms. Maria P. , I concur with your feedback. It's like do you like to see the rainbow when it's still partially raining and gloomy or after it's all passed except for a mist on the northern sky. Rainbows still are beautiful at any sighting !

Diana's voice no doubt is really so beautiful!!! Her rendition of this song is just so perfect!!!!

Thanks for having uploaded these two brilliant interpretations of Cole Porter composition, to give us an easy way of comparing both. At this very moment, Diana's interpretation touches me more than Sinatra's, and it's a matter of mood. I play "under my skin" on my harmonica in a way closer to Diana's style, because of the mood that this instrument passes to whom plays and to whom listens.

diana has a soothing voice here, very relaxing, but frank was like a storyteller, I'm imagining what he is singing..

I know both of these versions quite well and like them both for their own reasons.. Thanks for posting these together... I get it!!

It's all about personal taste dontcha know. Both perform flawlessly in their own style. Can't get enough of Diana's smooth piano riffs.

It's always great to hear two musicians handle a magic song in their own unique way. It is silly to pretend it is some sort of "battle " ! Frank and Dianna each create their own utterly unique sound and styling.

Wow what great sound quality gotta love the sound quality of Vinyl, i am biased for i love Diana Krall, for her husky jazz interpretations. Beside she is a great pianist also :)

Sin palabras, ambas versiones me encantan. La de Frank Sinatra tiene más "swing" por la Big Band de soporte, la de DIana Krall es más "smooth" acompañada de su piano.

Frank voice sounds so "alive" as compared to CDs. Diana voice also smooth. In this video you kinda can feel kinda like frank version (starting theme of love drama) that "alive" feel. Diana (ending theme of love drama) that smooth relaxing feel..

They’re both superb in their special way. But I have to say that krall’s version is outstanding it’s a complete new listening of the song. Very romantic.

Mel Torme did a smokier version that is to me like a cross between Diana and The Chairman of the Board... I have it somewhere on a compilation of standards that was given to me years ago on cassette... If you, or anyone else knows where I can find it on an album please let me know. I initially said Frank was the clear winner, but his version can get a little obnoxious when the big band pipes up! Diana tones that shrieking band down and ends up being very smooth and enjoyable.

I do not compare sorry, 2 mega artist who are singing the same song, makes me proud to know as times go by that this song will live forever,

They are both great singers

Mr. S. all the way. His recordings will be relevant forever. Often copied never topped. The trombone solo in the bridge swings so hard. This is a tour de force arrangement with Frank leading the way. Diana Krall, as good as she is, cannot surpass Sinatra in my opinion.

All those who love this song and doing comparisons, should watch the video for this song, he is awesome singer, " Chris Botti and katharine Mcphee ". You may love it and it is my favorite version.

Katherine McPhee is definitely gorgeous and very talented and I love her take on this Cole Porter classic with Chris Botti and I'll never understand how the heck she lost to Taylor Hicks on American Idol season 5. But, just look at her career and the guy who won that season and it really doesn't matter. Real talent will always shine through.

Sinatra off course!

Too much treble in the brass for Sinatra version and warmth of sound is missing in his voice. That is due to the early recording I presume. I prefer Diana.

Diana wins here by the mere fact that she had the courage to change this classic song, slow it down and make it to offer a sublime experience.

I find no reason to compare Krall and Sinatra. As far as I know they were never in a contest with each other and never intended to be. Both are / were great musical artists and in my opinion we should leave it at that.
