No one auditions with his songs, because they are unable to. No one ☝️ can scat and do what he does, Al you are beloved and your music is as never composed before. @@taleinz1 I really miss him. He was one of those rare talents who you thought would live forever! I was blessed to kick it with him in Houston, Chaka Khan - Nnenna Freelon- Alex Bugnon. Warren Moon and I had front-row seats. Yeah. I was Rich back then. .... But Al was the headliner... OMG - I went alone to enjoy it.

This man is one of the best. I'm from New Orleans and the first time I saw him was at the Warehouse and I was hooked. Took my boyfriend, my sisters, my friends, all at different times, but each time , they all became fans. I myself saw him 6 times the last at the Jazz and Heritage Festival and he still sounded wonderful. RIP Mr Jarreau you're missed but your music lives on😥😍

I saw him a few weeks, before he passed away, in Frankfurt Germany the last time. It was still more live and fun in this concert than modern music has in it. An old guy who just had fun and loved what he was doing till to the end. Excuse me my english..i dont know if its right in grammar etc. 🙃 Learning by doing😂

Dr. Al Jarreau is my pallette cleanser. When I just want to listen to pure music sang from the soul, I reach for the Dr.. His music has been a part of the soundtrack of my life. A true jazz gem, an iconic and brilliant talent.

Ms Alita and Mr Jarreau sound like two angels in harmony.

He must have been 75 here. Oh my gosh, gone but never ever forgotten. RIP, Al. Singing in heaven now, I bet.

I saw Al Jarreau perform at the University of California- Berkeley outdoor amphitheater back in the 80s. I was there with a special lady in my arms taking in the sights and sounds. The skyline of San Francisco twinkling in the distance made the night even more magical.

Too beautiful. Al Jarreau and Alita Moses. She has a gorgeous voice and knows how to use it perfectly. The old and the new. Love it.

One of my favourite composers and song. Al Jarreau is a great artist and it's marvellous that he doesn't feel so big that he can't be on the same stage as someone who shines like Alita. This is a fantastic duo.

The incomparable Al Jarreau and Alita Moses. Legendary performance as usual. An iconic jazz vocalist. Always exemplary.

I saw him and so happy I got a chance to see him in action live on stage! What an amazing man and I called him the genius instrument singing man!

Al was a magnificent vocalist!! He is definitely on the short list of GOAT vocalists.

Al Jarreau was a pretty fantastic vocalist with a lot of taste and craft.

We saw Al just a year befor he passed. Took our kids so they could share the experience. Ol Al could still bring it home. At the end, my 6 year old looked at me and said, "Gosh, he's really old, but he's really good!" The surrounding grownups got a good chuckle

Mr Jarreau still has it !

I bought his album Breakin Away in the midst of going thru rock phase of Zeppelin, Metallica etc. His album stood up amongst those.

I saw him in 1978 at the Greek Theater in Berkeley with Lee Ritenour on the billing. I did not know much about him back then. We got to the concert late missed most of Lee and was bummed until Al Jarreau came on and I was blown away and I came away a believer. He was magic on stage. I ended up buying a bunch of his work.

Life, the Universe, and everything in between, George and Ira Gershwin, Al Jarreau, this young promising Lady, i am happy i witnessed it all, Al Jarreau changed my life the moment i heard him for the first time back in the 1970s, may he live on, and on, and on, in the souls of young generations to come

Al Jarreau will live forever in my heart. So many albums/CDs that soothed the day, stimulated an impromptu party and got us all chill, singing, dancing and playing passionately with soul and our hearts in our hands. ❤🎼🎶🎵🎶💜 and Alita Moses - exquisite! I so love how you knees were a'tapping together too😘❤🙌

@@latebloomer2937 Sadly so many of these people are!..He certainly had charisma through his music but I'm always wary of guys who wear big chunky rings on their little fingers!!..I guess when actors and musicians are told how great they are, they come to believe it.

This is wonderful, full of groovin :) So sad to hear of Al passing today ! Alita your voice is wonderful and I will look up your music now...just sorry I never saw this before.

Al is in a phantastic shape, so experienced and so young at the same time. His humor is amazing. I heard about 15 live-concerts with him and never got enough.

Al always highlighted other artists that shared the stage with him. So generous. He was indeed a wonderful talent.

I met AL Jarreau backstage at the Lancaster Preforming Arts Theater, me and my wife took pictures with him talk with him he's such a delightful man Al told me me was a native and live near by when I hear of his passing Feb12th 2017 when the lord called him home it was a very sad day I remember praying for family and said another "Great One" gone home. I have all of his albums. Al Jarreau is truly missed by me because I loved the things that he could with his vocals and a true entertainer. Much Love Al Jarreau until we meet in heaven.
