Wow. Those boots are absolutely stunning! Yes, yes, yes...!!! At first, I didn't think I liked the green...but yell yeah! They are awesome. I want a pair just like 'em...and I want them in every damn color!!! Green, Black, Oxblood, Orange, Tan, Dark Chocolate, Rough-out. I know...probably almost $10 G's for that lineup...lol. Wow though...what a fantastic pair of boots. Splendid.

They have that hide in purple, it's called eggplant. One guy actually did my hide and the purple hide together and we nicknamed it the Joker. They have a really nice blue too. I think it's called Predator Ink. Join the Facebook group Frank's Boots Community for all sorts of great boot porn...

I use Dr. Martens laces on my PNW boots, would recommend.

Both pair of my Doc Martin's seperated at the airport. The sole from the fake sowed welt

I forgot to say that. Yes, I had the leather toe cap shortened a bit. Regular size hurts my toes when I crouch.

I don’t own any Frank’s, but I have two pairs of Nick’s on order in their W&C leather and one is in their olive double stuff color, so I guess you can say I like green boots as well.

Best on the shelves behind me? A little like picking a favorite child. 2006 WLW, 2007 Pappy 15, 2011 Pappy 20, AB3, and WT Japanese Tribute Gold top are all in that catagory. As well as some WFE wax tops. 💚

@@cloveroak5492 oh nice, I was able to get a bottle of pappy 15 at Costco for $145, which I think is a steal. I also have a bottle of George T Stagg in the Total Wine lottery.

That's nice leather, I probably will see if I can convince them to do a monkey boot with a tall toe box, I like all the boots you have featured. Franks doesn't seem to get the hype as Nicks does. But I do believe Franks will do more custom fit options.

Frank's let's you customize waaaay more than the other PNW's. Meanwhile Nick's keeps taking more choices away. I would LOVE to see a green Monkey! 😍 When you get them please post pics in the Frank's Community Facebook page!

@@rogeliorodriguez1533 no change in color. Just break-in wrinkles. I probably only have 60 hours in them. I wore them almost daily to get them feeling broken in, but they've been in light rotation since then. I've been wearing my new Monkey's most lately, but there are several other PNW's in the rotation too. Green is my favorite color, and this is probably my favorite shade of green in a leather I've seen, but green doesn't go with everything, ya know?

Those are amazing! Does Frank's make any regular models in a ten ounce leather?

If you opt for a leather liner, then yes....most of them. I don't know of any boot maker who's "regular" leathers are 10 ounce. That is really thick stuff for footwear. Their regular stuff is 7.5-8 ounce, which is a really thick boot leather. They often have one called Teton that I think is 9-10 ounce. My smooth Bison's (I did a video on this channel) are 9.5 ounce. They bought some W&C Eggplant recently that I think is 10 ounce. They did a Horween Dublin Ink (blue) recently that was 10 ounce. I would suggest giving them a call and seeing what they can do to click your boxes. Very nice people.

Do Franks boots make waterproof boots?

Leather that high quality, that thick, and the premium cuts they use is close to waterproof. Even more so if you use beeswax. Many people claim them to be surprisingly waterproof. But no, waterproof wouldn't be an accurate word. You could ask them if they'd order in leather impregnated with silicone though.

How much did you pay for these? I am really willing to buy a pair exactly like this!

I don't remember for sure, and don't know if there have been price increases, but I just went to the website and totaled everything up for you.... ---Wilshire model: 595 ---Special Limited Edition leather: 75 ---zipper: 40 ---extra eyelets & custom re-spacing: 10? (I couldn't find that charge so guessed) ---white stitching: 25 ---leather toe cap with 4-row stitcing: 40 ---Norwegian hand welting: 50 ---opt deleted celastic toe: -35 (at least I think they deleted that) ---there was no charge for changing the last, heel, or outsole. I don't understand Why boot companies don't have a pull loop on the heal.

Most of their stock versions DO come with a pull-loop. I opted against the pull-loop on all of my custom orders. On cheaper boots I've broke many to the point I don't trust them anymore. So even when I have them I don't use them. I don't find them helpful, if you can tie'em how is pulling them on hard? And you can push your foot down to get them on as easily as pulling. And my jeans sometimes get caught funny on them. And they look stupid IMO. Rolled top like I have looks great IMO and a pull-loop would detract from that. Padded collar LS look better, function better, and prohibit the pull-loop. But if you want a pull-loop you can certainly have it from Frank's.

@Clover Oak I got a pair of rubber hunting boots on now. When muddy you can't grasp them to pull them on. Nocona Boots once made finger hole cowboy boots you could pull on. 2 holes on each side. Mmmm..leather logger boots that's a thought.

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one. Is it the shade of green you don't care for, or is your problem with all shades of green on boots? Do you feel the same about blue on boots? Are any colors beyond black or brown acceptable in your world?
