The bag of water you took out was at the correct temperature when we placed it in the box, this helps maintain the temperature but the main reason we did this is to fill the void. We do not use tiny boxes when you place a small order and we only use licensed couriers so the weight of our boxes is not critical

Be aware bettas are great jumpers. you might want to put a glass sheet over the tank or some plastic cling wrap, leaving a small gap for air exchange.

Yes I know, thank you. There is a glass lid and I had to tinker with the fittings a little bit to eliminate gaps. 👍

Thanks guys. I'm totally made up with them. Aye breeding Betta is different than breeding a lot of other fish as you'll know and more interesting and an achievement I reckon. Good luck trying it with Cap. I'll look out for videos.

That's wonderful I am very impressed with how well they have been packed. I agree with Frank's acclimation routine its what we should all be doing. The only thing I did not do was not using a net. Makes a lot of sense. Where I get my fish from they do not net the fish he uses a plastic container. Can I go on the waiting list for a baby, seriously I would love one and happy to pay just knowing the breeding line? My betta died recently he just over 12 months old. Perfectly healthy and next thing died. If I remember you had a similar experience. I am wondering if there is something genetic due t line breeding.

Yes that's right Robert that did happen to me, a couple of times in face; sudden death to seeming healthy Betta. I'm sorry to hear about yours. It would be my first time breeding Betta so we'll see how it goes but yeah I'll definitely give you a shout if I get babies.

Why do they lose coloring ?

Wee bit of stress and also wee bit of defence mechanism I would imagine. They'd be harder to spot by predators in the wild if their colours are subdued and they blend into the environment and bit better.
