Yes. This was a whole dramatic thing back in the time. As part of the Nostalgia Ultra Mixtape this was initially dropped for free. It was scedueled for rerelease in 2011 as an EP, but i think Frank and the lable just gave up. This is one of his comments on it : "The Eagles sample 'American Wedding' has no chance in hell of being cleared".[35] He continued, "Coldplay sample 'Strawberry Swing', possibly. I hear 'possibly' from people who say they know. MGMT, those guys seem chill. I heard they heard the record 'Nature Feels' and they liked it a lot, so hopefully that can go someway." So yeah.. he just have made this for free and anybode can download it :)

Yes unfortunately his record label at the time refused to have the samples cleared, so he released it all by himself without promotion on Tumblr

mgmt version is good to but I heard frank first

Here's my problem I've got with the vocals. It's completely in contrast with the more upbeat instrumentals and creates this bizarre divide between the two. It feels less like a cohesive song and more like two songs slapped together.

Not really. The other background vocals put more of a balance to things even tho its still low tempo. I like this version better than mgmt because its more soulful. Mgmt version is extremely dope tho.

The original song by Frank Ocean is called 'Nature Feels', the uploader is just an idiot and called it the wrong thing. His mixtape 'Nostalgia Ultra' is supposed to make you feel nostalgic, so a few songs on the mixtape are covers of other songs he finds nostalgiac (MGMT - Electric Feel, Eagles - Hotel California, and Coldplay - Strawberry Swing). IMO the original versions of all the songs are great, but i like frank's voice better.
