This man put in more time to master the guitar than any other guitarist in the world. His odometer has over 1,000,000,000 miles. A Canadian Icon. Love you Frank!

It's a sheer bad luck for all of us fans that this guitar god didn't get the recognition he truly and richly deserved. So underrated it's a crime in rock industry.

what recognition? He’s recognized by a lot of guys and has boatloads of fans, some guys like zakk wylde even sing his praises. if you are talking in terms of success thats his own fault because they guy wasnt exactly known for his song writing talent and on top of that the cover songs and whole hendrix vibe didnt help either

Frank was / is an improviser, but did compose some great music. His live playing from this century is jaw-dropping, 3 or more hours of improvised jam, it's not instant gratification, a person needs an attention span to keep up and stay with it. Check out this unique jam - kzread.info/dash/bejne/f5Nsj8uGade1pJc.htmlsi=h1ketVUjeJ1cTQsr&t=4017

@@michaelcraig9449 frank doesnt have songs, frank has long musical journeys and trips he takes you on, the closest he’s got to songs were juggernaut & strange dreams. Stevie somehow got famous by playing blues and being a throw back during a time where guys weren’t doing that, he also had a body of songs and work that could get him on the radio and lets be honest most of stevies blues songs of his were like pop songs. Yea stevie also did the hendrix thing, but unlike frank in the 70s stevie didnt make it his whole identity and he didnt have a story attached to him about the ghost of jimi hendrix

So many techniques and range of styles I am amazed. Recently, I had the pleasure of listening to his Agora compilation. Nice jazz, blues techniques.

I seen Frank Marino 4 times the first time was for two cans of food for charity to get in and that was I believe 77 maybe 75 at Chippewa lake Ohio I was right in front of Frank and the stage was maybe 3 or 4 ft. off the ground , so I was like 15 and I was totally mesmerized ! The other times were all in Cleveland , and so I've been a fan ever since and till this day he's my favorite guitar player , and believe me I've seen a lot of great one's ! For all who have never seen him and even to those that have I totally recommend the live DVD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ at the Cleveland Agora it's worth every penny you will not be disappointed HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Harold, it wasn't a commercial video I had, I recorded it off of TVOntario. TVO would broadcast french programming on sundays back in those days. Having seen it once before, I was ready with a blank tape when I saw it was going to be on again a year later. The show was also simulcast on TVOs radio channel, so I also got an audio cassette version for my walkman.

The pickups are PAFs or early "PATENT NO 2,737,842"s not P-90s. Does anyone have any info on this guitar? SG Specials had "dot" necks and P-90s.
