Bernard and Frank were very close. Bernard was genuinely in hysterics at Frank. Bernard didn't think too much of other comedians and witnessing his joy is a very rare affair ! I miss the wonderful days of humor. You heard a great joke in the pub on a Friday and you couldn't wait to get to work Monday to tell it. What happened to us?

Club comedians like Frank had to learn their craft in the clubs. They did an apprenticeship They weren't thrown into the limelight because they met some sort of BBC diversity specification or equality quota. Back then comedians had to be one thing. Funny. Frank is definitely that.

The late great Frank Carson. .it's the way he tells them! lol. It's a shame they don't put repeats of the Wheeltappers and Shunters on the TV anymore, because they know that classics like this will upset the tosspot wishy washy lefty brigade. I personally would put it on more just to annoy them. Haha.... A message to the liberal lefty pillocks....this classic from the 70's is proper comedy, and not the so called "comedy" what unfunny comedians put out today. Frank along with Bernard Manning, Bob Monkhouse, Mike Reid, etc, etc r true legends of comedy, while today's standard of comedians r just basically crap, unfunny and woke. Bring back 70's and 80's comedy and get rid of wokeness comedians.🙂🤣🤠🤔

What have they done to us? Woke, more like a wake. Unfunny. Frank fired those jokes at ye and ye knew they'd keep coming, firing away, punchline after punchline. Ye got yer 50p's worth thats for sure. Bring back fags in clubs. I mean the smoking type no that other type. Be terrible to be smoking that other type in a club. Fags, beer and Frank delivering his machine-gun humour. Brilliant!
