Here is the story behind Ribery's scar: He was involved in a car accident when he was a 2 year old. The car he was in hit Cargo truck head on and Ribery went head first through the windshield. So they had to put metal plates in his face and had to give him 100 stitches. He once said in an interview, "It gave me strength and forged my character. You have to be mentally strong to withstand the ridicule of other children and the stares of adults"

I'd say Robben is better at the moment, but I think Robben has a peak now while Ribery isn't performing so well lately. Robben is just on fire since his goal in the CL final and the WC2014 gave him a massive boost. Ribery got a few setbacks with his back injury and not being able to attend the WC because of it. I think they are equals in terms of skill, but Robben is always just a bit more determined to win and prove himself. I haven't seen that much good dribbles of Ribery this season. Same goes for Götze. It's like they can't really adapt to Guardiola's slower paced system. I remember Ribery under Heynckes; the guy was always running and dribbling like crazy. So did Götze under Klopp. Now they have to create something when they are almost standing still. I guess Robben is just better at that, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, all great players.
