Francis Scott Key Bridge Eastbound (I-695 / Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop)

Traveling eastbound on the Francis Scott Key Bridge, a four-lane bridge consisting of a central continuous-truss span and pier-and-girder approach spans carrying I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway) across the Patapsco River.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge originally opened in 1977 as part of "Maryland Route 695". The portion of I-695 just west of the bridge was widened from two to four lanes a few years later. At 185 feet of clearance under the bridge, it is just barely shorter than the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Maryland's tallest bridge. Toll booths for the bridge were removed in 2019 in favor of cashless toll gantries.
